As a fan you can excuse and accept a one-off bad day at the office, e.g. like Wolves had against us. However, this run against what should essentially be for a team with promotion aspirations all but guaranteed three-pointers is symptomatic of weak leadership - both on and off the pitch - and, ultimately, poor recruitment - both on and off the pitch.

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, serious questions need to be asked and answered over the summer. Bruce's replacement is just one of them.

The second the season ends, sack him.
Agreed. Promoted or not.
That’s me as well.

If we don’t score first in a game, he doesn’t have a clue how to react.

I’d sack him now ...he can’t get a team to beat shit like Bolton what hope do we have in the play offs against Fulham or Cardiff. His tactics have been found out..stop Adomah and Snodgrass and attack out fbs with Pace ..the whole defence was a shambles today but the 2 full backs where hopeless.

Why take off both Adomah and Snoddgrass , why not take off Snodd and move Adomah to his actual fucking position ..

After the events at Ninian Park last night, you have thought that Bruce would have delivered the team talk of his life today. From the touchline, there was no inspiration just confused looks and bewilderment. He is finished
This. We should have gone Kodja and Grabban to start and blown them away.  No we got Scott.   Says all you need to know.  Pretty much anyone on this forum would have done a better job today.

In with a shout of automatic promotion and we end up with 4 points from 15. Ending as we began, useless.

if this were the start of the season he'd be gone so it's not entirely stupid - in fact it might be more idiotic to stick with him given that we  still need to cement a play off place.
Yep
We have only managed to beat a 10 man Reading in the last 5 and we have 5 games to get the team ready for unbelievably important play off games.
This was the worst performance taking everything into account today.
The importance of the match.
Lack of tactical nous, taking off 2 of our most effective senior  players and playing worse.
Too many players looking tired.
I would imagine the moral in the dressing room is pretty shot.

Has any club previously sacked a manager when in a play off position at this point of the season? Just wondering.

Tired? How? Do they play more games than other teams? Maybe just not bothered, more like.

No, and neither should we.

If we go up he deserves a stab but with a view to lining up a replacement in Oct/Nov in the event we are in the relegation mix or close to it.

If we don't go up he should be binned as we need to get someone in who can bring through players. He had a very large amount of money to spend on transfers and wages compared to more or less all others and so promotion should be expected.

Yes, but sacking him now would be a tad pointless.

The only possible shred of positivity I can muster about the playiffs is that at least we know more or less that we're in them. We'll probably get the points we need to make sure somehow, but we won't have the last-gasp disappointment of missing automatic or knocking our pipe out to nudge into 5th or 6th. I hesitate to say that's Bruce's plan, because he doesn't appear to be that clever, but it might ultimately help.

Ah, who'm I trying to kid? We'll spanner them up completely.
