Hogan starting tonight, so I can only assume Bruce doesn't want to win too many more games until playoffs...

Hmm.

Lol!

He scored a goal when the game was already put to bed, against 10 men. He's been largely shite for us and his return demonstrates that.

Terry's been brilliant, Hogan's been poor. There's no comparison.

Would David Wagner come here if Dortmund wanted him?

He'd be an interesting choice.

Not much of our current squad would be able to play his style but then again we'd need to change half of them if we don't go up.

I have to admit, Hogan would get a no from me and I'm hoping that Grabban returns nice and fresh on Saturday.

I'm probably in a minority here but I won't be overly upset if Terry leaves us at the end of the season. I don't think that he's quite reached the heights that he had, before his injury and has made several mistakes since returning. With Chester not being the quickest either, I would like to see a pacy defender come in, if funds allow it.

Talk to Chris - he's the one referring back to another conversation (about Terry). It was a 'clever call back'.

Other than we stopped the rot, I don’t think there is much more we can take from last night.
We still have Bruce’s muddle headed thinking to contend with as we near the end of this campaign.

Hogan deserved his goal last night. It was nothing to do with their being 10 men on the pitch, it was down to his persistence and forcing their keeper into a mistake.

He worked really hard all game. Several times he made cracking runs to take up good positions and the player with the ball did not spot him.

Sounds more like moaning for the sake of it.

This. I was pleased when Bruce didn't take him off at 2-0 and he scored.

I still think there's a very good player in Hogan. We just don't play to his strengths like Brentford did. He's always looking to find space and can finish if he gets fed the chance.

There is a huge difference between being an effective goal scorer with the right service and a very good player.

A very good player and a very good goalscorer mean exactly the same thing when you're a striker. Goals are the currency of the game.
