Onomah is getting some stick recently, I think overall his loan has been a success and his age and experience is going to mean ups and downs in form. He did pretty well when he came on on Saturday with some beautiful link up play with Jack for the penalty that never was.

I think talk is sending him back is an overreaction and he'll hit form again by the end of the season. Form is temporary etc.

Agree, Onomah is still very young and learning the game. The same people were writing off Snodgrass when he clearly wasn't match fit at the start of his loan. He hadn't played for a month under Bilic, who played him out of position when he was selected.

Don’t think Onomah is being written off, it’s just a bit weird that he’s Bruce’s choice to replace Adomah on the wing, when Andre Green is banging them in for the under 23s and is a natural winger/striker. (Unless Green not match fit of course which could be the case)

I could be talking bollocks but wonder if the bench selections are driven by wanting a core to see out a game rather than rescue it.

I've said before I think there may be at least an informal agreement to give Onomah games as part of loan arrangements.

He might be young and inexperienced, but he’s also profligate with the ball and prone to giving silly freekicks away. We can get that from our own youngsters.

He looked a class apart when he first joined us.  Now he just looks like he's going through the motions, counting down the days until he can get back to White Hart Lane.

I am ok with Onomah young and learning bit however we are not here to develop a Spurs youngster. We should have Green and O'Hare in there instead and send Josh back down to London.

I think Onomah is pretty decent myself and a good option.

Certainly not as our midfield dynamo.

Maybe in forward positions/out wide, but there's no one capable of providing mobility and energy in midfield besides him and the other loanee we have, unless you fancy getting Lansbury back in there.

Yep

There were people on here wanting Snodgrass to be sent back to West Ham not long ago. Onomah has been ok, he's scored goals and he'll have played his part if we go up.

I think Onomah is pretty decent myself and a good option.

He was excellent earlier in the season for us, scoring four goals isnt to be sniffed at either.

Still a bit raw but a fine prospect at 6 or 8, not 10. Davis and him sunk without trace midway through the season but he is still a valuable option for us.

Whelan, Taylor and others have been solid for us too.

In fact looking through our squad, there arent too many who have been consistently poor.

Bree didnt take his chances earlier in the season, Hogan and BB were very poor early on but going strong now.

Onomah has been a bit patchy as you'd expect from a young kid.  But then look at his link up play with Grealish in the passage leading up to Grealish being booked for diving, and you'll see he has some real quality as well.
