Agree with you there Ads. Everything is short term these days where the future is not the next 2 maybe 3 years but the   next 2 or 3 games.

Chris - my worry is that the fragility of the squad is more mental than physical, which is why i thought so many changes was the wrong approach.

I meant more injury wise - Green, Terry, Grealish, Lansbury, Davis, Kodgia, Hogan, De Laet, Jedi...

Personally I would have played Grealish and Elphick at least and I wanted Hogan to play if not injured, but I think the principal of the selection was entirely understandable and probably prudent.  People are going at this as if rotating the squad is some heinous tactic invented by Bruce, that's the only point I'm making really Paul.  If we had won, people would have been saying what a great run out it was for Terry and the kids etc..

I don’t think Bruce disrespected the cup with that team
it was a pretty good team more than half of them bought in by Bruce himself, he obviously thought they were good enough then

we just weren’t very good and lost that’s it for me, that team should have been easily good enough to beat Peterborough but it wasn’t

Can't argue with that.

Agree on elphick and Grealish and I'd have played whelan or jedi as well.

What Saturday highlighted to me was that when things aren't going well or going wrong on the pitch both the management team and the players never really know what to do about it.

If they lose on Saturday given the hyperbole that will ensue I reckon he might resign.

I can't see that happening at all, but if it did it might show the paucity of better candidates that are out there in the short term.

The only way he will resign is if we don't make the play-offs

He's not going anywhere until reaching the playoffs is mathematically impossible

That's something to look forward to.  Financial disaster AND having to pay Fistface off.

Well one of the very few silver linings of the "its all about this season" transfer/loan strategy is come summer we are going to have a large reduction in the wage bill all other things being equal. (Loanees & Terry etc will all go). So maybe finance wise it wont be so bad. Squad wise it would be a disaster of course....

I can't see him being sacked after we beat Derby to put us four points clear in second.
