We have drawn too many games and we should be better off points wise but we go into the second half of the season in a reasonable enough position for us to push on. Should be fun.
yep, with Terry & Green to come back in and Jack getting back up to speed.  A rested Davis and hopefully more confident Hogan.  It really ought to be enough.

Release the midfield shackles and play with a bit of pace. Then there is no reason to sign another striker. Green coming back in gives us pace off the bench that will be handy as well.

Yes agree completely. We need to take Saturday as a marker and believe that we can go home or away and dominate teams. Bruce has to brave enough to want that. Hopefully this win has raised his eyebrow to what we can actually do.

Even Gabby in a sub role playing in a system that encourages passing, running and movement can be effective. Especially late on as teams tire.

According to WhoScored the past two games we have switched from 4-4-1-1 to 4-1-4-1. Which seems to fit us better, its certainly a lot better to look at.

Bruce following Pep? :)

I hope it’s not like when Lambert followed Pep. We passed it 150 times in our own half and our keeper actually did a backpass. The departure from Pep’s philosophy is that we lost every week.

Indeed :) That was a bit sad though because Lambert actually was on the right track, what he and the team missed was 1.) You need to press and work all game to successfully pull off that strategy and 2.) Have the skilled players who can pick out/create the key pass after the build up. Instead he gave up and it became the usual tactical mush.

Steve Bruce has an advantage here, he understands and has a plan to attack, he likes to use width and finally he geninely does want to increase the tempo of the game , christ he shouts about it enough.

Anyway I thought it was interesting.

I'll wait to see it more than once to declare Steve Bruce has a plan. But I hope with the addition of Agnew you are right.

There really shouln't be any excuses now not to at the very least stay in the play off places, and mount a strong push for second.  We've got injured players coming back, and most of the top teams to play at home.

for me an on loan striker is a must as it looks like Kodjia is out for the season - gutted for the bloke. Let's hope he makes a complete recovery.

A total embarrassment of a manager.   We easily have enough depth to win today without risking our better players.  But Bruce isn’t  capable of doing it.   The most technically inept manager we have had.  And we have had a few chancers.   Bullshit artist.

Or maybe the players in reserve are not as good as you think.
