I really don't care who just sack this useless bag of bollocks. And do it now

I am sick of being so shit. He has not got a fucking clue

in fairness we do need a better plan than that
that's the sort of thinking that got us here in the first place

although i do sympathise with where your coming from

Terry is in the process of getting his badges, but hasn't got them yet. He posted a picture of himself studying for them a couple of months back.

I think with the right coaches he could do a job. If he manages like he plays he'd not only have some tactical awareness but he'd send the team out believing in themselves. One of my problems with Bruce is in this division we are the biggest fish and Steve Bruce seemingly isn't a big fish manager. Oddly, he'd probably have kept us up when we were heading towards the trap door and an increasingly tiny sprat in the top flight. He'd also probably get us promoted in five years when we are just another faded memory.

yep. we've seen how he rubs off on other players. leading by example i think its called. we'd certainly have another 5 plus non-bruce type players to choose from and tactics that don't begin and end in a target man

Is that based on his other managerial jobs?

The biggest opportunity missed was when we got relegated, we needed to put some foundations in place, decide what we wanted to be going forward and work towards that, then any change of managers or players would fit straight in instead of needing massive change from jumping from one philosophy to another. Instead we gambled on the quick fix with little thought on anything other then just getting promotion asap.
I dont want Bruce in any way, shape or form, his football bores the shit out of me but if we were to get rid then we will be back to square one, looking for the next quick fix with little thought on the future, the scariest thing about it is we haven't got time now to be fucking about down here so probably need a quick fix anyway. All in all a massive opportunity missed last summer.

Yes but should we not act just for sake of not acting?
Options right now. Squeak into play offs under Bruce and given our form
V here eaide we would fail. Or roll the dice not and get someone in with a bigger vision. Dean Smith, Jokanovic I wanted prior to Bruce and I’ve seen nothing to change that. Progressive modern football is key. Simple things like pressing high up the pitch

Tonight has clinched it for me...said before kick off that anything but a win and he should go. After watching that utter shambles, there can be no doubt. Go and go now.

What a lovely Christmas present for Boro fans that is, having that boring bastard take over your team.

I'd take four points from the next two games. I personally don't think Bruce is going anywhere.

I think Boro fans will be alright as I'm pretty sure Pulis will finish higher than Bruce.

If we take Dean Smith it will take him 12 to 18 months to get the team playing 'give and go' football. At the moment we have a very old team. Hutton, Terry, Whelan (cant tackle) nor can Houralane - Jedeck is old. Kodjah will not score in the premiership.

We really need to get back to what Vic Crowe did when we really were in the shit. Build from the bottom and come back in force.

I think an appointment like that would be better in the summer.

If we do sack SB and appoint him then it's important not to knee jerk if we fail then to make top 6. That should still be the target but given the way Smith plays I think a fair few of this squad would struggle and plenty of them are regular starters.

We finish 7th and we'd probably get 50 pages of Smith out posts, that's the way it probably would go but same should apply as with SB who had a free pass last season.

I don't want Dean Smith he's done a good job but he's not for me

I want foriegn because I don't really rate British type managers in general, and ones who at least want to play a passing game (hence the foriegn)

I know we had Garde but he came at the wrong time etc it shouldn't put us of having a go with another
Koeman would do and is available I think

Koeman didn't want the Swansea job so no chance he'd drop down to this level imo.

Zola good enough for you John.....

I think Karanka will be a serious contender actually. Bad news is his football is even worse to watch than a Steve Bruce team.

I have no problem with Bruce as a bloke, seems pleasant.

However he cannot get a team set up to dominate, or change a game. I genuinely think he has no chance of getting us promoted and therefore he has to go.

I'm sick of having good blokes and/or nutters as Villa managers. The last prick we had, if his heart was in any way healthy would have been great for us long term in my opinion. Instead we've gone for nice blokes like TSM, Garde, RDM and Bruce or fucking nutters like Sherwood and Lambert (in the end). I want someone who actually knows what the hell they are doing one, but mainly that he takes no shit especially from the players. Wankers like Gabby and Richards stealing a living, or Lescott and the likes. It's literally like being washed down the toilet week after week spirally slowly with no end in sight to the misery.

Put the whisky down - we haven’t got a cat in hells chance of getting Koeman

Newcastle got Rafa. You never know.

They were premier league when they appointed him.

There's no more or less reason to go for him than any of the other names bandied about. He might be a great manager, might be awful, most likely somewhere in between. It was merely a guess as to what attributes he might bring. Mourinho in known for his meticulous preparation and knowledge of his opponents. Terry has always valued and parroted this. He knows how to follow tactics and his on-pitch awareness is second to none. Whether he can transfer that to the dug out is anyone's guess.

There are way more managers who have died on their arses at Villa than have succeeded; most of them previously successful, at least in spurts. To be honest, pick anyone as I doubt there's a science to it.
