Hogan will be on the bench for the next one, he will never fit in to the managers elaborate plan simply because nobody knows what that plan is, it's a secret.

Genuine question here because in amongst the criticism of Bruce is that he's bought a load of duds. Do people think this squad is promotion material? If Tony pulls the trigger today is the bare minimum for any new manager the playoffs? Or do they get a bit more slack?

A manager who has a tactical plan has more than enough to work with to make a decent team.

Righto lets get him gone then Tone. If you dont we are down here for a while. I genuinely fear we are going to be one of those "Oh yeah Aston Villa, they used to be a big" clubs.

To be fair, we've already become part of the big four legged chair.

Leeds, Sheff W, Forest and us.

The truly awful thing is how comfortably we've slotted into place.

And we are by far the biggest leg

I can't see us beating Boro, so unless Tony is Lerner-like irresponsible, 2018 should at least have a bit of hope.

Now Pulis has a job we can sack him. But who would replace him. Terry has no managerial experience and would he want it as his first job?

Dean Smith may be an answer but would he leave Brentford after seeing the mess that Villa are in? Then again, the manager may be the cause of the mess and Deano may have a solution.

Really dont get the Dean Smith love in from some. Much bigger job at VP than he is used to.

I'm still the same because until this recent run we had been in good form.  We are only three points off the play-offs.  The last few results haven't been good enough.  But nothing much has changed for me.  We're still in touching distance and if we don't make the play-offs then make the change.

He is a negative manager and have to say I have had enough. Maybe he will now realise Onomah can play centre mid, whelan and Jedinak FFS

Do you actually think we are playing good football?

The football has been turgid since his appointment, wins papered over the cracks, stop winning and we look abysmal. The time for pragmatism has long gone, he’s a dinosaur, put him out to grass so he can go back to his level managing the Wigan’s of this world

Honestly I think our squad is very good for this level. Bruce's transfers are the least of his problems, in fact they can be good. The problem, just like his football is his transfers are very immediate and short term, never a sense of building towards something.

Just seen his after match interview. I could be wrong, but listening and looking at him, he looked a broken man, and one that knows that his end has come. Looked like he was expecting some bad news!

Dean Smith for the shot in the dark appointment, or Koeman if we decide to act like the big club we are. 8)

Player manager Terry. knows it's not about hoofball. Agnew providing the experience on the bench when he returns. give them to the end of the season. what we got to lose?
