re: the Bruce getting an easier time of it. Not sure thats right. I think he has always been on a very short rope because of the kind of football he has us play. I think people can be more forgiving if they see you building towards something or clearly trying to impose a more modern style on the team. Bruce doesnt do that. On his best day he wins with some exciting direct football. Thats fine, but his best day doesnt come often enough to overcome a bad patch of results.

I see they have announced that they are opening the Trinity Road 3rd tier, this is obviously to capture the momentum gained from the results and performance in December.

Erm.
There is no need for this sort of cynicism mate.

Pullis named boro manager just before we play them. Great, just what we need :( Although a hammering by them could be the push Tony needs.

Sorry,
I am sure the Villa engine will drive the club forward in the New Year.

When does Pulis dole out hammerings? The boring, scruffy, nonce cap wearing gimp.

Just saying the stars and planets could be aligning. We've had no wins in December, a tricky away at Brentford, and then a trip to Boro where they're trying to impress their new manager with their ability to play Pulis-ball two days before the transfer window opens. If you want a reason to sack a manager then no wins in 6 games is relegation form

Maybe, but I bet you don't wear yours to bed, Bri.

Who do you want to replace him? .............If he is replaced the new manager will have no money to spend thanks to FFP

And thanks to blowing it on the likes of Hogan.
I was asking if any one thinks he is close to getting sacked?

Depends how trigger happy people think Tony is. He certainly was with RDM. I think he'd survive possibly with 2 draws at Boro and Brentford. Obviously a win would take a bit of pressure off. But two losses, and faced with sanctioning some loans in January wanted by a manager doing this bad currently... I don't know if he would.

I wanted him sacked after it was obvious he was not getting us into the play offs last season.
in my view it was a poor decision to build the promotion campaign with him and we now appear stuck with him.
I would not lose any sleep if they do fire him but I fear that they might replace him with someone worse.
But 6 games without a win if it comes to that would suggest that the Doctor will need to act.
