Bruce is like a Monopoly player that buys up everything he lands on and ‘hopes’ it works out but has very little else to offer.

Apperently he was bemoaning lack of transfer funds which is typical of a manager that try’s to buy the way out of a problem, the ready made excuse that he didn’t get the backing to succeed.

I never said nothing guv honest.

 Oh dear

What I'll do now is stay away from this thread even if we beat Sheffield United, which clearly you are unable to do the minute we lose a match.

Someone asked if you were 11 earlier, they were generous, most 11 year olds have got the sense to get a reply that calls them wrong, check it, realise they were indeed wrong and either shut up and hope it goes away or apologise for talking shite.  You don't have that ability, you just throw more shit out despite being warned twice by the mods, my 8 year old has more common sense than that.

Aside from that, if I want to post on a thread I will, especially when the main purpose of it is to call out the kind of childish bullshit that you've inflicted on this one.

Well he has had more to spend than any other team in the championship and a few in the premiership.  He just scattergun buys with no real game plan.  This is reflected in the way play.  Some games okay but mostly shapeless.  And I thought MoN was the Emperors New Clothes.

I like Steve Bruce. If someone said "Draw someone's friendly nan," the picture would look like him.

Bit of a crap manager, though, sadly.

He can moan about funds all he likes but the simple truth is that he wasted most of the money that was available to him by spunking it on Hogan, Bjarnason, Bree and Lansbury to either not play them or use them in a way that is completely different to how they've played before and that has made them look like a guy he grabbed from the crowd.  Depending on what figures you believe that lot accounts for something between 15 and 20 million quid.

Whilst we aren't losing this thread gains what 1 or 2 pages in a week. We lose 1 game it gains around 10 pages in a couple of hours.

I shouldn't be surprised to be honest as let's face it the haters have to wait a long time until they can release there enjoyment of watching Bruce lose.

I was a little confused by the line up but Davis was ill Gabby just back from injury as was Hogan (plus is crap) so that made it understandable.

Again was Bruce responsible for Whelan making a ridiculous error? As like I said had that not happened it was a completely different game.

Hogan was far from crap when he was playing in a footballing team at Brentford

Very true

I quite like him too. But then I think of those two Fergie time goals (98th and 133rd minutes,  seared on the brain) that changed the course of us and English football.  And then I think of his managerial shortcomings.   He won’t starve if he’s sacked.  Can’t play more golf and then get another manager job.

He is very much yesterday's man.  However, be careful what you wish for.  A lot of crap ex managers out there, including Mark Hughes in a day or so no doubt.

I am not a Steve Bruce fan by any stretch of the imagination but what on earth can he do when we give away a goal like we did. You can't legislate for a goal like that. Derby must have thought it was Xmas come early....oh hang on...we're Aston villa so we'll always  make sure we dish out the presents.

No Bruce wasn’t to blame for the first goal.   But he is culpable for the most expensive side in league not even looking like scoring.
