Somehow he seems to miss the point that it's his job to get them playing a certain way and to a certain level.  Once again chucking the players under the bus.  I bet they love him down at BH.

“The way we played, the way we went about it, was chalk and cheese from what we witnessed on Saturday and the week before that."

Saturday was failing to beat Reading at home, the week before that was creating nothing for an hour against 10 man Ipswich. Fucks me off that the media keep letting him get away with spouting absolute bullshit.

Bruce in rewriting history shock.

We were slow and ponderous (pedantic) on Saturday as well.

In fairness he's only been here 2 months and hasn't signed anyone.

It will all unravel over the next few games. He'll get found out by new owners and even Xia must now see he isn't the answer

“Sometimes you get a beat in a cup tie when it does not go your way,”

“But when you go about it like it is a testimonial or a friendly game then it upsets me to the hilt. Actually, it makes me feel physically sick.

“At this moment I have to take the rap because ultimately it is my team.

“But it will be a shadow of the team which plays on Saturday.

“I would have thought the people who have been knocking down my door in recent weeks would have made a better fist of it than what I have just witnessed tonight.

“You could use the word 'embarrassing'.

“We got away with it against Yeovil a few weeks ago.

“Some of them have been knocking down my door now for the past few weeks.

“All I can say is that we got what we deserved which was nothing.

“The way we played, the way we went about it, was chalk and cheese from what we witnessed on Saturday and the week before that.

“I take the responsibility because I changed the whole team because of the ones who have been knocking down my door - there was their opportunity.

“But they haven’t grasped it. I can’t stand here and defend them.

"I’m flabbergasted at what I’ve seen."

Just pathetic. Get him out. Now.

Just read something on twitter that was actually quite incisive, I thought.

Bruce is most suited to an underdog club looking to overachieve. He is not suited to a club where they are favourites and expected to succeed. Different mindsets and he doesn’t possess the right one for us.

Don't normally comment or get involved in the in/ out debates. Hate to see my team dip out of a comp we have done really well in over the years. On the same day (today) was quite impressed with the Mark Warburton interview on talk sport. Seems like an analyst and a planner, so considering backing that idea. I stayed away since '77 and came back last year - haven't got another 41 years left to live ffs.

Same tactics, same mixed up player selection, same level of performance, similar results and different players.  The one thing that is different is the players and you blame them, Steve!

I think Warburton was the coming man for a couple of years but has dropped off the radar after the Forest gig.

Those quotes are truly pathetic but predictably so. He’s a caricature of himself. Leadership vacuum anyone.

To keep it brief; what a twat.
Wow. Is that his comments? I'm not a fan of the guy but that is some brutal honesty right there.
