I know Bruce failed in his objective to get us promoted but the blame lies for the clusterfuck that is Aston Villa at the door of a 'Dr'.

TBH I feel all the shit going on flips the whole Bruce thing on its head.

Him staying gives us a credibility we might not otherwise have, now that the senior management off the pitch are effectively AWOL.

Isn’t Luke Edwards the journo that he spoke to about his mum & dad passing?

Would guess he has the inside de track on what is going on with Brucie so is this a genuine come & get me to Leeds or an attempt to get Villa to firm up his position?

I was firmly in the Bruce Out camp until Christmas time, got behind him once it was obvious that he had the backing for the season, after Wembley wanted him gone but with the financial situation I am really undecided, can see the benefit of stability but also worries me whether he has it in him to utilise youngsters proactively.

Not sure about credibility, predictably, most certainly but you're damn right about the senior management. There was an interview with the Wolves Chinese owner that mentioned how moving to the area completely changed in a positive way the running of the club.

That is how I feel, the last thing we need is more self imposed uncertainty.

I think the manager issue is the least of our worries, at the moment.

I'm pretty sure Bruce is on a rolling contract so no compo to pay and no cost for us to get rid!

Well it depends what sort of rolling contract it is really. If it just runs from one date to another and both parties have the option to continue when it runs out, then its not very secure for either party, and whether there is some sort of payment clause or notice if one party doesn't want to continue is anyone's guess.

Then of course it could be one of those contracts where if Bruce was sacked today, he'd still have a year left on his contract, and likewise if he'd left today we'd be due a years compensation.

Well, it would get the club a little income. And hopefully we can appoint someone good, young, cheap and unemployed.

No, I don't know either.

Provided we have a future, we have to look to the future. We have to say where do we realistically think we can be in 3-5 years with the resources we have. Then you plan how to get there.

If it is back in the PL with a squad that can be built on, then the manager next season cannot be Bruce. Bruce has never built a team over that period of time and has never worked within the financial constraints that we are going to be faced with. His football philosophy has always been short term.

A some point we have to draw the line and say that from this point we are going to go progressively forward even though it may mean going backwards a bit initially (strange as it sounds).

If only we had a chairman or CEO in this century with such a common sense approach.

As the thread title says, Bruce out.
He's had his chance - twice, and failed - twice. Third time lucky? I don't think so.
Thanks and goodbye 🖐
