apparently he's one of four potentials for Leeds. Has been interviewed, so fingers crossed.
Resume of interview.

Experience under Fergie.
A winner.
Used to pressure.
Can handle the big clubs.
Turned Villa around.,sorted out  the dressing room, inspired Grealish.
Championship promotion,got the t shirt.
Would have got Villa up but for officials not spotting a sending off, that close.
Contact book, experienced players vital to get out of this league will come,Snodgrass eLeeds fan favourite etc.Hernandez Hull.
Player commitment guaranteed, look what Neil achieved at Cardiff.
Leave Villa because didn't believe got full backing of board and feel same will happen again.
Can't see a mention of tactics, but ticks all the other boxes.Appoint.

Seriously, unless you just want the money, why would anyone go to Leeds? It痴 a madhouse

So when we played well it was because the players flouted the game plan but when we were poor it was because Bruce set the team up wrong?

Or it was Agnew's or Terry's influence but only when we won.

I was, still am,so disillusioned with Bruce that I proposed a short term Terry/Agnew partnership.I would be more reluctant to pursue that pairing as there are more long term possibilities now.
So ,I was intrigued that Pat Nevin claimed Terry to be the player most suited to management that he's seen in the past 20 years.
As Nevin probably only follows the careers of Premiership players,it's interesting to look at the competition. From the England WC squads  of the past 20 years of those that have been in management, you have a choice of Adams,Ince,Shearer,Merson,Sheringham,Wise ,Nevilles G & P, Les Ferdinand (director of football)and Southgate who failed at Boro and his England U21 team lost all its final group games but still gets the main gig.
Of the new boys on the block the alternatives could be Gerrard,Lampard,Giggs,Scholes and Sol Campbell who won't touch anything below a Premiership club.
Wonder if Mikel Arteta is on Nevin's or Villa's radar ?

If Alex Bruce is to be believed, his old man is looking forward to getting back, dusting himself down and getting on with the job. Sounds like he's staying.

He値l be looking forward to being back, he値l dust himself down, like everyone at Villa has to and despite all the negativity at the moment regarding FFP, players being sold etc etc...... whatever lies ahead he値l be doing his utmost to get Villa back to where they should be.

It's tricky.

Sack him and you've got to pay compensation to somebody and then they're left with what to shape a squad.

If you have nothing at all to spend,  who would you choose?

Rock meet hard place.

It's consistently more than all but two clubs.

And yet still not good enough.  The problem is that it wasn't consistent.  More than half our goals (40) came in less than a quarter (11) of our games.  Were these the games we approached less negatively than the majority of the others?   If the goals had been spread around more games, more consistently, we'd have had more points.  For me this is down to the way too negative approach in most games.  It's points that count, and three other teams got more than us. Two of them did it by actually playing some decent football consistently.  I think we could have done the same, and Bruce has to carry the can for the fact that we didn't.

Good point made earlier that if the squad is weaker on paper next season do we really want safety first Bruce in charge.

For the price of a De Laet or Gil we would rule out the possibility of improving by appointing a new manager ?
