At this rate, we'll be lucky to make the play-offs. How things have changed since that result against the Dingles.

We need one win.

We're still 8 points clear of Derby and Boro.

‘One win’ to achieve what?
We are fucking shit and will stop in this division. You playoff merchants are getting to be a pain.

Anyone in favour of sacking him and placing Terry at the helm for play offs?

Not me but then again I can’t wait for the number 26 to bugger off.
And me but I asked the question because it baffles me how some fans would like him in charge just because he is Terry and despite having no qualifications or experience.

Does any one have any confidence that Bruce will get the team in shape to win the play offs?

The evidence is building that he is losing the plot at a crucial time.

Since when have you needed qualifications or experience. you can't teach being a manager. That's why so many ex-players are shit at it

Isn’t the second bit evidence that the first bit is wrong? Players who have spent 20 years living and breathing the game with excellent leadership skills on the pitch regularly make shit managers. Suggests there is a bit more to it.

Our recent form is no great surprise.  As others have said it's classic Bruce inconsistency.  I'm not the only one whose doubts about Bruce were based on the lack of an underlying pattern of play or system or solid technique as a foundation to consistency.  He's always seemed to be winging it on a game by game basis, hoping someone will pull something out of the bag.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Unfortunately it was almost bound to end in play-offs at best.

Just to clarify, is a 'playoff merchant' someone who thinks we will reach the playoffs, someone who wants us to reach the playoffs or someone who has accepted we can only reach the playoffs? Just checking so I can work out if I'm a 'playoff merchant' too.

If you think Bruce is a good manager then he started somewhere. Likewise MON, DOL, Keegan, Keane, Lambert, Clough, Trevor Francis, Guardiola  etc. goes for any of ex-name players. All started somewhere, some were good, some were shit.  Some were great leaders on the pitch but arse managers, learned under the best managers but were still arse managers. Other managers weren't great players or great leaders on the pitch but were good managers.  I'd say Terry has as much chance of being a fuck-up as Bruce has been, but as far as experience and leadership goes he's certainly not behind Bruce at the same stage.

Terry doesn't have the coaching badge to be able to manage in the premier league so whilst we could give him the job it wouldn't be a good idea.  When he's qualified, or very close to it, then it could be worth looking at.

Get rid, but sacking him before the slim hope of promotion has finally faded into the distance would be folly. Going into the play offs without a manager would be madness.

Wolves are above us because they have better players than us. Cardiff and Fulham are above us because they have better managers than us.
