Ah, ok, sorry. You asked if it would be a good idea to sack him and I said that I don't think he should be sacked so in a roundabout sort of way, I was saying no.

Bruceball is a tedious turn of phrase for the lazy, who appear incapable of articulating anything of note.

There are plenty of critics of Bruce and the way we play football who are able to pen something worth reading.
Thrilling post.

I post what I think all the while, as do others. I'm not the arbiter of what people type, I'm just rolling my eyes at your tedious cliches.

Does anyone actually believe sacking him now would be a good idea? Not the end of season but now.

It would be stupidity on a Small Heath level of incompetence to sack a manager when we have just won three in a row and are closing in on second place.

It's not going to happen whilst we're up amongst it trying to get out the division and I don't think it should.

Not until and unless it is practically beyond us to be promoted this season.

He's not going anywhere this season. And there is no chance he'll be fired if we go up. But Xia won't ever want relegation again so Bruce needs to be sitting in a solid mid table position come January 1st 2019 for his position not to be in danger.

I'm not so sure Bruce would be around if we were to get promotion. I agree that he will not face the axe now, but I just don't see Dr T trusting him with a fairly sizable budget for players.

And based on history nor should he be

I don’t disagree with that. It’s a huge a concern given his ability to manage at PL level. I don’t really want us to be lumbered with Bruce’s signings but we might not have a choice.

In.

He will get us promoted, then we can assess things.

To be fair, without having a go at anyone, I hate all the 'witty' phrases people come up with:
Bruceball
Lamberk
John Anonymous
etc etc.
They are very much the ramblings of know-it-alls.

That being said, I'm sure I have many annoying traits that people could find utterly tiresome.

It’s almost as if giving a manager with a proven track record at this level time to bed down; and settle a squad that had seen two complete changeovers in consecutive seasons, was always likely to be the most sensible option

No guarantee of success or promotion. But always likely to be the best option

Bruce deserves lots of credit for being big enough to see he needed help and bringing in Agnew. His hysterical fan nonsense was not needed and counterproductive. The best way to silence detractors or doubters is to do it on the pitch. And he’s now doing that. The team and club is the most confident it has been in a very long time.

If we go up I'd hope (sadly, not expect) him to get the boot and we get a manager with real Premiership pedigree. Keeping him for sentimental reasons would not be the way to go.
