We’d usually publish highlights around now, but these are hard times. So while you can watch those over on our official YouTube channel, we wanted to thank our fans for your continued support and let John Flanner remind us why we’ll always be ‘Villa Till We Die....’

That's the heading to a video the club have put up on facebook.  I can't decide if it's taking the piss out of the performances or asking for patience, seems to slip neatly between the 2.

Green should have started instead of Grealish. At this present moment Jack doesn't deserve to be in the squad at the moment. Substitutions were strange. I thought Hutton and Lansbury were the best players on the pitch. Adomah needs to run on he too often cuts back to the halfway line which is where Hutton is and it gets bottle knecked. If he runs on space opens up for one of them or releases a midfielder.

Bruce needs to see this because if we can and he can't then we're in bigger trouble than we realise.

Is this guy freelance or actually solely employed by the club?

You'd have thought him retweeting SHA news and promoting some of their schemes like Gardner would've made the club act.

The one good thing about last night was Morley and Sid in the Holte Suite before the game taking part in a pre-match build up chat. It was a good idea, whoever thought of it.

Which is all well and good and Merson maybe right about the new guys but what about the batch before? And the batch before that?

We are a palimpsest of players from several managers. Why it never works out only the universe knows, because I am out of answers.

Word of the day award!!

I first saw it as the title of a Gore Vidal book. I recommend the word. The book is more of an acquired taste.

Just looked at the stats for Reading v Brentford from yesterday as i live in Reading.  Reading 12 shots Brentford 23 and 50-50 possession.  All adds to the fucking mystery.  There is definitely some greater power at play

Just seen the Barnsley 'goals' First was never a penalty, second was a mishit shot and the third should've been cleared at least twice before Bradshaw got the shot away. A joke. Parks footballers could do better....

I suspect that's the current problem at all levels within the club. Bernstein in his resignation letter spoke about the complete review and overhaul required, which was rejected by Lerner. It looks to me that the review was never done by the current owner given the chaotic chopping and changing that has gone on this season.Nothing structured just the continual throwing away of money.

There is something fundamentally wrong at our club.

Maybe we should ask Bernstein to send that review to Dr Tony Xia.

Just seen a replay of the 'penalty' for the first time. Thought it was a really bad decision at the time. Seeing it again it borders on outrageous.
