We had less than 20K when we stuffed Boro to go top in 92/93.

A quick check at the records and we had 22,310 against Bradford in 2000. A few 22-23K in 1994/95. Our last sub 20K seems to Man City in 93/94 19,254. Although the lowest that season was 16,180 v Saints. Our lowest in 92/93 was 17,120 v Palace.

I bet you're all very excited!

Will be interesting to see what crowds we get next year even if we're fortunate enough to stay in this division. Can't see as many STs being sold as the novelty has well and truly worn off

Someone's due a thrashin...

What's the point

We buy poorly
We choose managers poorly
2-6k a week go to away games
30-40k watch home games
We have great owner
Idiots like me sit and listen on the radio hoping
So many of our ex players are playing well elsewhere

Who was the last manager to go on to a better job?

The only consolation I have is that I'm a long way from Brum and don't have to endure the humiliation of turning up for work tomorrow morning and enduring the latest taunts from my colleagues.

Did not kick off here till 23.45hrs, so decided I would give it a miss, as work this morning, then you wake up and are just not surprised to see the scoreline 1-3, to Barnsley, not Bournemouth, Burnley, god forbid Barcelona, No fing Barnsley. It is a long way back from where we are presently going and have we reached the bottom yet, with Mr. Bruce at the helm I think not.

Like everyone else I'm somewhat nonplussed about what's happening. And like others, I come on here with the solution, be it at club level, management level or indeed on the pitch. But that's been done. A lot.

So what to do? Nothing. No managerial change. Stick with it. Have faith and be brave. For example, Norwich went through an horrific run of form with only 2 wins in 12 with 5 straight losses. Everyone said Neil was for the chop but they stuck with him and have recovered somewhat.

The initial reaction is to weep and wail but now is the time for calm. Yes I'm concerned about a further relegation, no, I have no idea what the manager is doing but having given in some serious thought, I can't think of another path to go down that we haven't already trodden and not ended up scraping our shoe on the grass verge.

Close your eyes, cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Yep it's called faith, sometimes it's all you have as a supporter.

Maybe, but Villa fans always turn up to watch a winning team, so if we have a decent season next year the fans will do their bit. If only it was that easy though...

I thought there were around 25k last night. On the way home I couldn't help but recall some (amended) Neil Young lyrics - Aston Villa  were left to die on the pitch, and in the stands, the home crowd scattered, for the turnstiles.

The alternative, Nev, to crossing your fingers and hoping for the best is to walk away.  There is going to be a lot of walking away.

I had Noses at work trying to take the piss and they lost as well.
That just about sums them up really.

Work in sunny Bilston, the 3 Albion twats who work there will be lying in wait when I arrive about 10 am, smirking giggling horrible fuckers who never let it go, thanks Villa.
