All the forward balls are long. We just are not playing through our new central midfield. Two of the best strikers in the league but still no service.
Very, very, frustrating to watch.

We have played ok. The new midfielders are close to working well with Lansbury having a good game. Hourihane looks a bit out of it on the left he needs more ball to be effective. Didn't realise Hogan was so quick and a shortie for a number 9 but pleased to see that shirt occupied. Other than that it's bloody cold.

Extremely dull first half for the most part. It's like we buy a load of good players and then train all of the quality out of them. I'm not one for chopping and changing managers all the time but am already starting lose faith in Bruce.

We've had 15 goal attempts, compared to some games this season that's Barcelonaesque.

Bruce has the players and he has until the end of season to get them playing good football and scoring at least two a game average otherwise Villa will remain a mid table side next season as well.

We are not anywhere near our potential with these players based on this performance

But how many on target?

Not pulling up trees then.

We're not even mowing the lawn.
We haven't even got a lawn, just a backyard

Maybe a goal will unlock the shackles but it's been very much two midtable Championship teams on a cold and dull afternoon so far.

Im not at the match and can't find anywhere to view it.

Are the team working better together? Any sign of tactics beginning to work?

I saw a worrying statistic about how we play in different phases of the game, and as far as I can remember up to the 30min mark is generally the closest thing we have to a purple patch.

I think the number of games where we concede in the last 5 mins or injury time should be a big worry.
