Is Paul Mariner playing for them or is he still banned?

Am I the only one who thinks this new change of style would be perfectly suited to Amavi at wing back.

No, you most certainly are not.

It appears the plodding Icelander and a Swansea stiff are ahead of him now in the pecking order.
£25 mill anyone?
Oh, and yes, a 2-2 draw.

I've always thought Amavi should be used as a winger. He couldn't defend for toffee.

Was he injured or just dropped? I can't remember.
Given his current form he deserves to be dropped though. But wing back could suit him. He's got to earn his place again though.

Thanks chaps. North Stand has indeed been cheaper in past, but last few games I've sat in there its been a bit shit (surrounded by overly pissed up / aggressive twats - not conducive to a trip to the game with my nephews).  Needed a few seats together so had to use Pravda, but £30 for a seat in the 'Doug Ellis' seems a bit much when we're playing Ipswich in the second division...

If Jedinak is back I think we could do well. Fingers crossed for a 3-1 Villa win.

Although Ipswich as a club don't particularly arouse any feelings in me either way, I would just like to say that Alan Brazil is a complete and utter wanker.

Yes, Alan Brazil, the red-faced, bloated King of Corporate....woooosh!
I hope we thrash the fuckers just for him.

Think Bruce needs to go back to basics with a good old 4-4-2

Johnston
Bree
Baker
Chester
Amavi
Adomah
Hourihane
Lansbury
Green/bacuna
Hogan
Kodjia

You've missed the vital player if fit.......Jedinak

The one positive Bruce can point to is that we are undefeated at home, we couldn't could we.

We will win, probably quite comfortably.

But, too little, too late.

Agree that Amavi is a winger, pure and simple.  De Laet will give us no relief when he returns because he can't defend for toffee either.

We HAVE to win this. Never easy against a McCarthy side, ugly but can be functional at this level.

Johnstone
Elphick      Chester     Baker
Bree                                                        Taylor
Lansbury    Jedinak     Hourihane
Kodjia    Hogan
