Hogan looks promising if given the ball. Really not sure about Hourihane though.

Sky commentators noting that Villa are being destroyed by their former 8th choice right back Lichaj. Why? Thor is not a fucking left back, Bruce!!!

Forest could pass the ball around the centre circle all day and we wouldn't have a player within 20 yards of them.

Hogan looks a real goalscorer. Unlucky there.

Why do Villa teams never pressure the other side when they have the ball, give them too much time to set a pass and deliver it. The coaching at BMH has been poor about the fundamentals of the game with several consecutive managers.

Missing Jedinak. Neither Hourihane or Lansbury are holding midfielders, both good technically but don't sniff out danger at all

The commentators seem to think we were decent, I thought we were terrible, goal aside. We barely created anything, had nothing of the ball and sick of goalkeeping errors.

We weren't great at all but apart from the goal elphick could have scored twice and hogan nearly scored

We definitely had chances, I agree. I guess I'd like us to be more authoritative in games. Bit tired of seeing teams out-pass us for fun. Constantly camped in our own half. It's demoralising!

Oh I agree with that completely

It's just that it's actually looking quite dangerous today, playing on the break with two up

Should have fired again there

Yeah, good point. Hopefully as they play together and gain some chemistry as a unit we'll look a bit more assured.

But he needs the service from midfield

Apparently we bought a new midfield last week, has anyone seen them? Or got the receipts for that matter?

Lansbury is doing fine but is Hourihane still on the pitch?

Yeah I can't say I've been too impressed so far

Early days
