This game is on Sky Sports 1 :)

It's on Sky Sports Mix too.

My prediction for the line-up is:

Johnstone

Hutton
Elphick (assuming Baker gets injured by Tuesday)
Chester
Amavi

Adomah
Hourihane
Lansbury
Green

Agbonlahor
Kodjia
We would actually have loads of options on the bench to improve things if need be! Notably Adomah, Bjarnason, Grealish and Bree.
How do you think Adomah will deal with this?

The last thing they'll expect is for us to take off Adomah and bring on Adomah.

Tactics even Sherwood wouldn't be clever enough to think up.

Like most Villa fans, I'm really looking forward to this now.

As a side issue, can anyone remember us playing Brentford before?  I'm sure we must have at some point but I can't remember meeting them, even in the old 3rd division days.

1953 was the last time we played them before this season. We've never lost to them.

With Tony due to delve in his pocket several times before next week, I'd personally go

Buffon; Daniel Alves, Chellieni, Thiago Silva, Hummels; Muller, Iniesta, Westwood; Suarez, Ronaldo, Messi

Lots of fullers pubs out that way offering bat London pride in the country. That said the Bees are a hard team to turn over. We need to be at our best with good attitude. I hope the new boys shine.

They were dire against a poor Wigan side. Got to be winning away here.

Really hope that with the signings this is not yet another false dawn...we've been kicked in the nuts so many times over the last few years. There's only so much we can take surely !!
The possible team looks the most balanced we have had for years imo and am genuinely looking forward to seeing Hourihane, Lansbury, Bree and Thor strut their stuff.
Be nice to watch a Villa game without shouting the phrase "oh ffs" on a regular 5 minute basis....

Not just me then :-) If we all say it together we could create a tidal wave...
