I was there as a 17 year old.  Very happy days. Barca were appalling that night

more than anything I really miss those nets. nothing better than seeing the net bulge and the keeper having to bend over to negotiate rolling net to retrieve the ball.

I was age 9. Aside from the carnage on pitch, strongest memory is getting into the car with my dad after, and in the usual traffic, WM playing 'We are the Champions'.
I can't remember any radio moments after Highbury (biggest memory there was being terrified getting knocked off the crash barrier & the clod of turf lobbed into the stand we planted in our garden) or Rotterdam (it was onto the official travel coach, so that was the time that song meant Villa).
What a privileged childhood I had.

One of the best nights at Villa Park ever. The atmosphere was incredible. Barcelona were appalling, probably the dirtiest team I have ever seen. They took an incredible dislike to Mark Walters, who I think came on as Sub. They literally kicked him up in the air at every opportunity. Having said that Withe's elbow on the centre half for Shaw's goal was something else.

Brilliant memories!

Drive up from Southampton on my own. Drove straight back to the shipyard where I worked , a couple of hours sleep in the  car and then clocked back on for work. Great night !

Superb support Dorset - the things we've done for Villa - what a contrast between your support and the glory hunting tv supporters of today.

Will Villa ever play teams like Barcelona again? It's so sad to see Villa struggle as they are against the likes of Brentford and Barnsley. Watching great night's like that against Barcelona are really double edged for me in our present position.

It was a great night, one of the best. But it wasn't a big crowd as I remember (just checked 31,000).
