It's not passion, it's Roofe's ability to drive a game on. We haven't got a player that can do that, but it shows that even with a gaggle of average players, having balance can pay dividends.
I haven't collected my thoughts properly but we were bloody awful yesterday all over the park.
Very poor again yesterday. Whilst we all know the midfield is not good enough, we're missing Kodjia's goal's and presence up front massively and it goes without saying, a way past it Gabby is not the answer. I'd rather see him give him Davis a run with McCormack alongside him with Green out wide. He needs to shake things up a bit.
Wolves fans are laughing more at how crap our fans were more than how crap our team was.
Are they?
The atmosphere was flat, surprising for a late kick off and a bit of local needle, the Wolves fans looked as bored by proceedings as we did. If they are claiming their contribution to the atmosphere was anything special they must have a much different idea on what a good one is.
This thing that's still going on as well with most of our play going through Hutton, as it has done for about 18 months, is seriously pissing me off, he can't fucking cross, stop giving him the ball all the time.
If Hutton could cross from the positions he goes into he wouldn't be playing in a mid table Championship side, he'd still be at Spurs.
We have far more pressing needs than replacing Hutton.

And that's the problem, he's a mid table Championship player, we aren't getting promoted with players like him in the side. More than a few people suggested we'd piss this league and such and such would be a good player at this level, completely ignoring their inabilities to do even the basics correctly. Hutton is a complete waste of time.

We signed a replacement but unfortunately he is crocked, pointless throwing more money at it. He does a reasonable job but with obvious limitations.

QuintonVilla's obsession about our fans is becoming a bit tiresome. Besides, how would he know they were laughing at our support? How ridiculous.
His work rate and tenacity gets him in good positions from where his lack of talent lets him down, it's the lack of ability from other attacking players which is the problem.

i don't think he does a reasonable job, he leaves us exposed on the right with poor positioning and lack of mobility. He wastes every opportunity when he receives the ball in an attacking position.
He has stopped giving fouls away because he gets no where near any player with the ball.
However right back is not the position to fix right now. It's akin to putting new locks on your shed when all the windows in your house are wide open.

That is a complete misrepresentation. You appear to be letting your dislike of the player prevent any kind of objectivity. He can't cross, we all know that, but the rest is way over the top. There are far more pressing issues than our stand in right back.
I'm no fan of Hutton but since Bruce has been here, I think he's been ok but that might be because he's found his level. I'd play Bacuna right back personally. It's the one position that suits him best and he's got the ability to put the ball into box unlike Hutton.
Has anybody any suggestions as to who we can play on the forward line that doesn't include Gabby? if we have to go through the next three or four games with that line up we will probably lose them all or draw at best because we most certainly won't score ourselves. I believe Green has to be given a start just to see what he has to offer after that I'm at a total loss.
Adomah and Green/Grealish(preferably Green due to his pace and trickery) either side of McCormack for me.
McCormack would do better with intelligent players up next to and around him. Not a whale from Erdington pretending to be a human being/footballer.
This situation points out the total mess the signings made in the summer were.
We desperately need a 'proper' centre forward. It doesn't have to be a prolific scorer, but it does need to be someone to hold the ball up and bring the midfielders into the game (in an attacking sense). In the process we'll get the best out of Grealish, McCormack, RHM, Green - all of them.
Without a player like this the game is always stretched and you end up needing holding central midfielders to protect the back four.
If we don't get a striker then it won't matter whichever midfielders we may or may not get we'll have exactly the same problem as we saw yesterday.
