Not remotely good enough. Far too much going through Hutton when he can't deliver a ball in to save his life.

Good point, always offers himself going forward but gives the ball away constantly so its pointless passing to him. Doesn't show the same desire chasing back to his own goal I've noticed. Thought we dominated the most of a very average game, our keeper handed them their goal when they were on top, McCormack missed a sitter to equalise.

Two very poor sides. Bacuna was probably our best but is not a centre midfielder and struggled to keep us playing, instead we resorted to a lot of long balls which we got zero return from. Like at Cardiff, we huffed and puffed but precious little guile to fashion genuine chances and the front two were shite. McCormack breathing out his hole after 70 mins. Grealish appalling again though couldn't understand him on right and Green on left.

I want Bruce to be given time to sort this out including two transfer windows. However, if the fans turn against him he will only have himself to blame for persisting in an egotistical fashion to pick utter fcukin wasted of skin like Agbon la fcukin Hor.

Good luck selling tickets for the rest of the season Villa.

The question that everyone is asking is why sell Gestede at the start of trading knowing that your top scorer could be away for a month we were already struggling up front so why not if you have to sell him wait until later in the month. It smells of incompetence.
No pattern to our play, people ask why Hutton gets so much of the ball it's simply that the opposition know he's shit and leave him space, how many times do you see Amavi wide open? that's because he can be dangerous going forward so they keep it tight on his flank.
Before today I still thought we had a chance at play offs but this performance was as bad as we have seen Bruce continuing to play Gabby is a statement on the way mediocrity has been allowed to fester and Bruce has let us all down badly by bringing him back.

Gestede isn't good.

I agree but he was a different option up front, what's the use of crossing the ball with the midgets we have playing up front.

Lambert can go forth and shaft himself sideways with his mindless aftermatch drivel. I've never seen him display any energy like the final whistle. He used to sit on the bench mumbling under his breath about the Dortmund press, going again and how excellent Lerners money was. If he had any class he would have resigned or called Lerner's whole lack of duty out.He milked us for the shilling. He is a Grade 1 rocket polisher.

On a week when I'm reminded of the attributes, ability and decorum of my favourite manager whom would have never had that approach...I'm reminded of the opposite end of the scale and ability as well..And I include both of the Mc's in that. The whole rotten, defeatist denial and attitude we currently swim in,on the pitch and BMH,was amplified and allowed to mutate to nuclear levels on Lamberts watch.I hope that champagne and celebratory mars bar chokes him.

That right there was a Steve Bruce performance, dont attempt to tell me that its to early too judge him, that is no the norm, 1-0 down in a derby and no a worthwhe effort on goal in the second half.
People will continue to support him, he'll be gone at the end of the season and it will be another 6 months or so wasted.
We have gone from a team who attack with Alan Hutton as there main offensive outlet, to a team that defend with Alan Hutton as there main attacking outlet.
We play the worst 'football' in the league bar none, slow, soul sapping, long ball, draining.
His master tactic was to bring Abgonlahor back? Fucking hell!
Appauling tactics from a dead man walking, heres to going through the motions again for the next 6 months.
You know, it's very difficult to disagree with this.
This!!

Great game, really enjoyed it despite how cold it was. Every player committed to the cause from the first minute to the last. Players and fans as one as they fight for promotion. Final score Hinckley 1-2 Bromsgrove as we stay top and are the highest ranked side in the country to still be unbeaten.

Villa were shit.

It's 4:30am here and once again I do wonder why I bother staying up/waking up for such absymal rubbish.

I tried to go to sleep, but my love for the club runs deeper than bodily functions. I just couldnt resist watching the rest of the match because there's always that tiny bit of hope that something good might happen. Yet it rarely, if ever does.

Pathetic from Bruce and the players. Hated seeing a Lambert team play better than us, look like a team with shape, and a team that knows the basics of the game. Wolves were far better than us.

Someone touched on it during the match thread, and I have to agree. I almost clapped their awareness-why does Hutton get so much of the ball? It's been happening for years now. I fucking hate him as a footballer. Besides his goal against Leicester a few years ago, he has never done anything remotely of note. I'm a massive enemy of his game.

Some of these players need shooting. Elphick never looks comfortable. Never. Slow to the point of almost still. Atrocious business by the club.

Bacuna-an utter twat and never should have played for us again after last season's grinning bullshit. Awful. His passing today was superbly bad.

Amavi-my first time to criticise him, but deary me. A shocking performance. Like Bacuna, his passing shocked me. It was that bad.

Onto Agbonlahor. No. Westwood's name on a team sheet prior to today often led to me simply not bothering to watch the game. It's going to become like that with Shisha c***. If Bruce continues to persevere with him, he deserves all the abuse that his stone age brand of football deserves.

Basically, we aren't only playing poorly, we aren't creating, we have no creativity, our passing isn't crisp, direct or fluid. I hate the way Bruce has us playing. It isn't productive or exciting. It isn't suitable away from home, and it isn't getting the results that we need.

All in all, it's going to be massively difficult to make the playoffs. It still has to be the aim, but pretty much all the teams above us, play better football than us. Where has the exciting football gone in the last 6 years? Or at least more regularly than once every few months.

Can't stand Bruce's football, I refuse to support such a mentality he is installing.

A very very very disgruntled fan.

Last thing-It was an emotional game for us fans today. The players should have gone out there and done Sir Graham proud. But they didn't. Massive massive pricks. They should be ashamed.
This too!

I like bruce but he is talking the talk and walking backwards

why do we look unfit?
why do we look unbalanced?
why play flabby?
what is our style of play?
what do you do at bodymoor heath?
Why so late making changes?

20 points off top spot is a fucking disgrace and everyone at the club needs to hang their heads in shame

That includes dr tony for appointing rdm, turning down 25 million for amavi, saying 3 in this window would be okay and sanctioning the purchase of a fat 30 year old that we will get fuck all back on and saying that in 5 years we will be in the champions league
[/quote
and this!!

Sorry mr Bruce,
You put that team out.
What the fuck were the tactics ?
Not a fucking shot on goal !!!
We sell a Centre forward without replacing him, as our two other forwards go to CAF.
I came home from holiday a day early not to miss this shit.
Why after 60 years do I still keep doing this to myself ?
fuck the lot of them.
And this!!

Time will tell

40 million parachute money this season

14 the season after

Next season will see a drop in attendances and commercial revenue

Fuck me good luck in trying to attract players to come to us next season

Steve Bruce ..This is the greatest ever  club you will ever manage in your life , and you know this. So make the most of this precious time here and do your up most up to get us back where we belong.
so for a start..
stop playing the fuckwits who were useless last season and got us in this shit in the first place . They are not good enough , they are mid table to lower table championship rubbish.
Please stop it and sort it quick...

Shirley it's not about Bruce, but the shite he's inherited from those that have gone before him?! There's evidently no 'quick fix' in the offing, so it's gonna take a good close-season of bringing in quality for dross: and organising a team that has the quality & depth to mount a proper promotion challenge. Frankly. I'm just thankful that we now have a manager that actually HAS a clue; and one that is experienced enough to prevent our catastrophic drop through the divisions. Things could be a lot better, but they could be a whole lot worse. Time needs to be our friend now - and not our enemy.

You can't be serious

We've spent more in net terms than anyone else in our league - by an absolute mile
