It looks like Martin Gethin's career might have ended tonight.

Or non Boxing in this case. Heard Hughie fury has pulled out of his title fight with Joseph Parker within two weeks of the fight being held. The Promoters over here are not happy with Fury's Team.

Any thoughts on the Joshua vs Klitschko fight this weekend?

It's hard to see anything other than a Joshua win. Klitschko has nothing to lose as this is likely to be his last career fight whatever the outcome, so I hope Joshua can deliver with all the hype, anticipation and expectation placed on his shoulders.

Dunno if of interest to anyone but I saw the other day that The Regency on the Hagley Road have an evening with Joe Calzaghe coming up. I assume more info is available on the web. They seem to have a few boxers there as remember seeing them advertising Ricky Hatton a while ago. No interest to me but thought it may be to some of the boxing fans on here.

It's a curious fight. I like and I rate AJ, but you never know with Klitschko and even at 41 he's more than a level above anything Joshua has fought in the professional ranks.

Klitscko to stop AJ in round 6 after taking a few heavy shots in the first two rounds.

Klitschko is too old. AJ to win in 4. Simply too fast and powerful...

I've got a lot of time for Klitschko and his brother, and for me they are both as good an example out there of what sportsmen should be.  He has looked very focused in the interviews I have seen this week and it will be a big test for Joshua.  A lot has been made of Klitschko's experience, but he has operated in a very barren time for heavyweight boxing and won't have really come across anyone like AJ before.

If Klitschko can keep Joshua away with that left jab and vicious right hand then he might stand a chance.  If AJ can get on top of him early though, it could be all over quite quickly as Klitschko's chin has been questionable at times in his career.

Agree with Tomd. Klitschko is a class act. The respect between the two is a nice change and good to see.
For me Joshua will stop him in the fifth or sixth. However, like Hsye Bellew, the longer it goes on Klitschko gets stronger as Bellew did.  He will be grabbing a lot and spoiling Joshua getting into a rhythm. Interesting that he's his lightest ever. He looks in great shape.

I've not looked forward to a fight so much in years.
