A Spurs friend of mine has just been telling me they'll be playing a weaker side with a strong bench.

They'll need to if Gabby's a Villa sub

I have no idea what team SB is going to put or how seriously he is taking the competition but fear that even with our best eleven available this will be a 0-3 or 0-4 gubbing

I can't see us getting anything out of this game so I will say 3-0 Spurs.

Our 'least shit' line up would probably be:

Johnstone
Bacuna, Baker, Chester, Amavi
Jedinak, Tshibola, Gardner
Adomah, McCormack, Grealish

Subs - Gollini, Hutton, Elphick, Cissokho, Westwood, Green and Agbonlahor

I'd be concerned if Johnstone's first match was a televised thrashing.

All those going (like me) better have a look at the travel advice that has been issued by Villa this afternoon.... https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2017/01/06/tottenham-v-villa-travel-info I would say it'sa  little late to let us know

It's 'character building'... ;)

think its worth giving Green a chance on the right, the lad looks as if he has ability but needs games

Flabby and Tshibola will almost certainly start I would think and Amavi needs a game out

-------------Johnstone
Hutton, Chester, Baker, Cissokho
-------Bacuna, Jedinak, Tshibola
------Green, Flabbs, Grealish

There probably is merit in the idea of giving Amavi a rest. But any permutation that sees Cissokho come in an and do that weird impression of a puppy chasing a balloon should be avoided.  Even in a game like this.

You have to give him credit though, he fucking nails it every time.
