Why couldn't Ian Olney just not run out of steam that year? Why, God, why?

I think about that season everyday, and how close we were.if only Platt had scored that penalty vs Wimbledon.

Didn't we beat Chelsea away that Christmas as well?

Yep, having defeated  3-0 on New Years Day 1990. Probably the best Christmas/ New Year ever having defeated Manure and the Arse at home. Tony Daley scored a belter at Stamford Bridge.

That was a very exciting side back then. You never knew what was going to happen.

Thanks SGT.

Going back to that Man U game we could not get in so Damon climbed up the Holte End gate.  Clinging to the top of it he shouted a running commentary to the rest of us.

The game that finished it for me was losing 2-0 to Coventry on the sunday, we never quite reached the peaks after that, IMO. :'(

OFFICIALLY sold out now.

Just need clarification from Quinton now before it's really official.

Good job it wasn't Theresa May up there.

Best Boxing Day game of recent years was the 2-2 draw with Arsenal at home. We were 0-2 down despite battering them all first half. Zat Knight equalised in injury time and the ground exploded. That put us 4th in the table.
Yes agreed that was some match QV. I think we got back into it through a Gareth Barry pen and then Zat Knight did his magic and it wasn't a header either. I remember Zat fondly for only two reasons. That goal and the one against Chelsea.
