2-0 to Villa. Rudolph and Sweet Baby Jesus to score.

First game of the season for me.

Hookey,

Never mind Villa doing the business, you should be doing that on your honeymoon.

Have to say though, you didn't get your priorities right did you!!! I mean, putting a honeymoon before a match with Burton Albion!!

Seriously, enjoy and have a great time.

Don't count your chickens. Don't forget they were coming to get us.
Coming to get us? Have it missed something?

Its what they sang when going up.

Drab 1-1 draw. mcCormack nailed on score. If they take the lead it'll be 2-2.
Can't remember which politician said it about who but it reminds me of the quote "it's like being threatened by a dead sheep" lol

I think it was "savaged" rather than "threatened", and was (rather harshly) by Churchill about Attlee.
Apart from that it got it right then? Lol

I would have thought that the return match this season would come round a bit quicker though;-)

They may play in front of a bigger gate at Newcastle but they will never play a league game against a more prestigious  Club than the Villa. It is the ultimate event in their history.

We have played some pretty uninspiring clubs in the past.
I was a lot more embaressed against the arsenal at Wembley.

That was post-match embarrassment at the performance, not pre-match embarrassment that we were at their level.

We live in a post-match embarrassment world these days, Richard.

I can think of a few cringeworthy Villa events over the years, this does not come even close, now if we lost!!!

Us 10 - Them 1

We spend the whole of the post match thread complaining about the "schoolboy defending" that gave them the consolation goal.

Seriously can we PLEASE have a decent result at Christmas for a damn change?
