Don't count your chickens. Don't forget they were coming to get us.
Coming to get us? Have it missed something?

Its what they sang when going up.

Drab 1-1 draw. mcCormack nailed on score. If they take the lead it'll be 2-2.

With the bus parkers it depends on whether we score early. If we do, we will win 3-0, if not, then a scrappy 1-0 awaits.

Villa to win 2-0. About time we kept two clean sheets on the bounce.  Don't care who scores, just win.

"You're just a shit Port Vale."

But we're the Villa, and we usually find a way to piss on our own shoes. Christmas disappointment looms...
"and a merry christmas to you too sir" ........doffs cap and tugs forelock.

A great day for Burton Albion Club, players and fans. Enjoy your trip and take the loss back as honourably you can.

Nervy 2-1 or 1-0.

Which I'll gladly take right now. If we win that and scratch out a win in the Leeds game, we'll close the first half of the campaign out with 37 points and be unbeaten at home.

Which considering we have barely turned up this season is quite something. Any sort of upturn in form in the new year and we should be aiming for well  in excess of 40 points from the remaining games.  Manage that and -barring freakish form from the other contenders- we would be on course for the play-offs.

Games against the likes of Brighton, Wednesday, Norwich and Leeds are crucial. We have already fluffed our lines against three of that lot, we can't afford to keep on doing it.

I think it was "savaged" rather than "threatened", and was (rather harshly) by Churchill about Attlee.

Dennis Healey used the phrase "on being criticized by the mild mannered Tory minister Geoffrey Howe in the UK House of Commons in June 1978".

It should be Man U, Arsenal or Chelski at home on Boxing Day but we will have to settle for a 3-0 win over 'the Brewers" this season and hope we never have to play them in a league game again.
