Ayew for Gabby, Bacuna for Hutton is surely obvious? Poor marking for their goal.

Gabby's contribution is effort and not much else.

You could say that for most of the team. Can't fault their hard work but really struggling to see what they're trying to do, assuming they're trying to do something.

I'm trying to figure out what is shitter...Alan Huttons crossing or the trailer they've just had for Bad Santa 2 during the ad break. It's a toss up.

They were always going to get at least one.

At least we won't approach the second half like we did against the B-lose. We'll have to go at them again, rather than just hanging back.

They can be got at, and with what we can bring on from the bench, the game is there for us.

That's already better than what he's given in the previous couple of years.

And he's softened them up for ayew

I know we could well lose this (lets face it Brighton has a great record at home) but I have to say its a good game of football. Both sides look good, organised , going for it. It is also, dare I say it, entertaining?

Tactically Bruce has got Villa looking a lot better than the past few years, we looked a danger on the break and they didn't look like creating a chance never mind scoring.

We were the better team by a distance. Unfortunately we have Hutton and Agbonlahor who are playing poorly as usual. Westwood's been OK though.

You're not allowed to say that last sentence. I agree he's been more effective than Gardner without being more than ok

Bacuna's energy could add a lot either centrally or at right back

Hutton is just so shit. I can't believe anyone ever paid £9m for him. His passsing and crossing is embarassing. I'd genuinely be disappointed if I was put in those positions and produced shit like that

Really? It looks very obvious to me - and they've been doing it - albeit without a huge amount of quality

I'd snap your hand off for a 1-5 win right now

This second half is gonna be a struggle I think. They'll come out better second half

Need to be a threat on the break and that means more quality - ayew or grealish, or maybe even both at some stage

I didn't know we were playing. Saw it mentioned on twitter, started watching and they scored within a minute. I've turned it off now, I can only apologise.

Looks fairly obvious to me too.
