Oh bollocks. Just hope then he's seen something on the training field to select Gabby from the start.

Laying a wreath of poppies on the pitch before kickoff is a weirdly pointless gesture, I mean they have to be moved immediately.

I was optimistic going into this game.

Brighton are in form, but how good can any side be with Sidwell a guaranteed starter in the middle of the park.

But that selection, Jesus.

Bruce's honey rinse has washed out and he now looks like Leslie Nielsen having fallen out onto his face from an airplane.

It normally takes about 5 months of being a villa manager for that to happen.

I'm astounded Gabby is still so fat. What happened to all this training? Why can't he shift the blubber? It's ridiculous.

That's true. Imagine what he'll look like when we go on the inevitable losing streak.

Just remembered I can watch this on beIN Connect. Nice.

Well, the first half at least ...until it is time to go home.

Commentator immediately put the kybosh on this one, saying it was one of the most attractive fixtures in the Championship this season.

I don't think he's seen much of us over the last few years. I wish I hadn't.
