I have no opinion on these one way or the other. But they play in stripes, blue and white stripes. They're also called the Albion.

Imagine aping that shower of bitter twats from Smethwick. They must be wrong uns.

More seriously I wonder if Calderwood leaving will unsettle them. A bit like when Walter White split from Hughton and things unravelled quickly.

With the possible exception of Newcastle this will be the first game this season where we aren't necessarily expected to make the pace.  If we are reasonably solid at the back there may well be a bit more space for likes of Kodjia / Ayew and Jack to play

1-2
Baker & Ayew

2-2 or 2-1 to us. I'm going for an away win. I think. Adomah with the winner.

I would like to see all the Villa fans walking down the seafront singing "We are the Holte! We are the Holte! We are, we are, we are the Holte!" Then they can go and have sex in an alley before the  game.

Think Brighton have the best defensive record in the league and are also in great form, so I would be happy with a point from this.

Have to watch their giant defender Dunk, from set pieces.

Got the afternoon off work, hoping to get in the first pub by 3pm. Is there still a nudist beach in Brighton? not that it's exactly the weather for it

Would be good if Jedinak really is ok to play

I'd still put Westwood in alongside him

Only joking

I d also add watch out for effervescent striker Glenn Murray set plays and open knows the goal well. One striker I would habe liked  at club. Hemed also a physical guy.

Is anywhere in town likely to have this on with the commentary? I guess most places are likely to have music over it as it's Friday evening.

The Eagle, Prince Albert and Lord Nelson are all good boozers with 5 minutes of the station.

My first ever Villa match, 1980, we beat Brighton 4-1 at VP.
Goals from Withe, Shaw, Mortimer and Bremner.
Same again please.

3-1 to Brighton.  Kodja to get another for us on the counter.  Just think this is a step too far for us right now.  After Newcastle I'd say Brighton are the best team in the Championship.  I have just about everything at this level.  They concede very few and are really well prepared and hardworking.  Their great at home too.  A draw is the most I can see us getting and would snap your hand off for it right now ;)
