I'm really not a fan of Oasis, but if we only play it after we win I'd even be happy for them to play Be Here Now from start to finish.

Positives all over the place I thought but one thing that does concern is our corners are still a definite area for improvement. Other than that, we definitely seem to be moving in the right direction. And nice to see two games on the bounce where we've nicked it late on.

If we can afford it and find the right guy, a £15m midfielder would be my priority in January.

I just can't see who'd come of that quality

Maybe someone like chalobah or Loftus Cheek on loan from Chelsea, or one of the championship's best like that guy from brentford

If Derby continue to struggle then Will Hughes might be a shout.  Ideally we could do with a left footed player in there to give us a bit of balance.

A song that catches on by accident is always better than something pre ordained.

If the Oasis thing had happened 20 years ago, I'd have loved it because I kind of liked them. But then I grew up, and now I'm not so keen. However, it's spontaneous and not without meaning, so I'm all for it. It seems the kind of song that can only be sung along to (after the game), rather than just sung, though, so there's no danger of it becoming our new anthem.

Before yesterday the only time I remember hearing Oasis at a Villa game was the League Cup Final in 1996 - 'Roll With It' as the teams came out.

My ex worked on whatever the tour was shortly after that came out. Noel Gallagher ordered the soup and left the goal open for her.

No mistakes, no massive lulls in the players efforts, concentration for 90 minutes plus, fighting for second balls, the basics done right. Not a huge amount of skill or style on show but they performed as a team who knew that winning was THE important thing about the game, not just turning up and going through the motions.

It'll do for me for now, 7 pts from 9, Bruce immediately has most fans onside and some momentum behind him with two late winners.
