What's a decent fee? Our money back? We paid a huge amount for him.

I'm not sure anyone really knows exactly what we paid but say it was £11m if we could get £8-9m back I think it would be worth doing. i was hugely impressed by him in the first season but I honestly think those injuries have robbed him of fluidity of movement and confidence. He just looked a different player .

He's hardly played enough minutes to form an opinion. He needs a full pre-season to make any judgments on whether he'll be back or otherwise.

I think he has- although my view obviously different from yours, it's no less valid.

Elmo is absolutely fine at Championship level. He’s not really a liability, generally puts in 7/10 games. Nothing special and has the odd game where he creates a goal or two. He’s at a point that he’s unlikely to attract any bids worth really accepting versus the cost of replacement.

Do we need to sign a replacement though?  If he has a good world cup and a premier league team comes in for him we'd be looking at £5-6m after paying about £1m for him, that's a massive boost to the FFP situation and then we bring DeLaet back and Have Bree as well.  I'd be very happy with that.  I'd say the same for Bjarnason as well.  I'd love them both to play well and see offers because both play in positions where we have depth.

if a prem team pays 5-6mill for Elmohamady I’ll show my arse at the Holte pub corner

Kodjia looked great when he came on against Cardiff (I think it was) but seemed to struggle other than that whenever he played, which wasn't a great deal in all honesty, just a few sub appearances. Totally understandable though, he had a long lay off.

I purposely went for a silly price but I can see someone like Colin Wanker thinking his experience would be of value and offering a decent price.

I'm not sure that Bruce really likes Kodjia, perhaps thinks he's a show pony and isn't really a team player.  I think he's great but a decent offer and he's gone I reckon.  £10mill?

I would say he does, he saved his job in 16/17 when we didn't win for two and a half months and then he had a great goalscoring run.

Kodjia fit and firing gives Bruceball a cutting edge.

Tough call on the Kodjia.

If he is still the player he once was then we'd be mad to sell him. Even for 15m.

However, i think a few folks fear he no longer is that same player, in which case 10m would be an absolute golden deal for us and one we'd be daft to turn down.

But we'll only know if he is that same player after about 10 games of the season so ...

I thought when Bruce came in he was looking to get rid of Kodjia at the end of the season, being one player he thought he could get money for to fund his next batch of buys. As it turned out he got injured.

What on earth made you think that when Bruce had got Kodjia playing brilliantly ?

After the event bias I would expect.

That's given me another reason to stay away from the match. No offence like.

Only one person got Kodjia playing brilliantly and that was Kodjia himself. He played as an individual, so why you think it was down to Bruce is hard to comprehend.

Also, if you read my post, I said "when Bruce came in ...". As Kodjia got better and better, he became almost unsalable due to the flack that would come from the fans ( a bit like Adomah last season - another one that I do not think was in Bruce's plans at the start of last season).
