At the moment all he looks good for is a foul, and a miss

I'm getting very worried for the guy - he desperately needs a few goals to boost his confidence.

No time for passengers I'm afraid.Step up or ship out.
Ship out is a bit hash but we should forget about him for the next two matches.

Weed be better off with Davis on the bench.

Nah, he's gone to pot lately.
someone’s toke his mojo away; the dirty roach.

I thought that playing Davis would have been a smart move yesterday, against those CB.

Kodjia just doesn't seem fit and I would have thought both Hogan and Davis would have been a better bet as sub yesterday

It was far from an ideal situation for him to come into yesterday.  We had very little possession and when we did have the ball we just punted it aimlessly up front.  The midfield was non-existent, apart from Jack, as Jedinak was essentially playing as an extra defender and Hourihane was doing his best Downing impression.

If we get to the final he will come on as sub and score a dramatic winner, well that’s what I dreamt.

Yeah I agree with this. Really, this entire period of him coming back from injury into the pressure-cooker play-off atmosphere isn't ideal, not allowing him to develop any kind of rhythm and form. Yesterday he made one big error after a good bit of hold up play, giving it away, but other than that he was basically doing a 20 minute bleep test after he'd been brought on. We certainly won't see him back to his best until after the summer.

We have to remember that we weren't expecting him back at all this season, and save for a few games, he's been out for a year. Getting a bad injury and then getting another one so quickly after his 'return' will have affected his confidence, being injured for that long will have left him rusty.

We are doing the right thing by playing him back in towards the end of games, and it's good not to have to rush him back this time because he's all we've got. He's an option, and we have have others - that's a good place to be.

I think he will look better again by next season, but yesterday in particular, there was no way he could be expected to put us back on the front foot all on his own from how far back we'd dropped.

Davis hasn't made the squad for weeks now, not sure what's up there.

Think if we're in a similar situation on Tuesday, Hogan will be coming on instead.

Let's hope not.

Understand that. I just think that against Boro he might have had more impact.
It is strange that he has been sidelined.

the only positive Davis he brings is an ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play - he's never going to be a prolific scorer himself. If that's enough then fine.

He hasn't looked good at all since he's been back. OK, I get that yesterday wasn't a great game position but leaving him blameless smacks of people making excuses for Hogan not scoring. Frankly, if he'd have played a bit better then it might not have been such a tough watch last half hour. I'd still prefer him to Hogan coming on based entirely on last season but he needs to show something.

As with others not sure why Davis has been completely shut out. He has his weaknesses but was also a pretty key member of the team for a fair chunk of the season.

I’m not actually sure Kodjia is a great option as sub, fitness issues aside. Hold up play not that good and he needs minutes on the pitch to do his thing because even when he’s bang on form he can drift in and out of things.

Plus, and this isn’t based on any actual facts, I sense he thrives on being the main man and wonder if that trait lends itself to putting an unglamorous 10 minute shift in trapping the ball by the corner flag, or coming on and throwing yourself into the action when we’re chasing a game when he’s watched most of the game from the bench.
