Bruce apparently had a go at hourihane and reminded him Kodjia has been out for nearly a year.

No time for passengers I'm afraid.Step up or ship out.

Stupid comment! He missed the whole pre-season. He's essentially still playing catch-up on match fitness. Service to him and Grabban wasn't the best tonight.
Rubbish. This is no time for catching up on match fitness
He's spent.

Hourihane is the last of our players that should have a go, given he disappeared after 20 minutes.

Kodjia did OK when he came on.

Not great, but OK. He held the ball up a bit better than he normally does.  But that isn't his game, really. He'd be better coming on out wide, playing on the shoulder and leaving Grabban up top.

Is Davis injured? Or just out of favour.  Can understand the thinking of having your more experienced players in games such as today. but the counter to that is young players sometimes play without fear.

We probably relied on him too much in the early part of the campaign, but he is a nightmare for centre halves even if he's not scoring and the ball tends to stick when it goes up towards him.

Ship out is a bit hash but we should forget about him for the next two matches.

He's still capable of creating something from nothing.

He did well when he came off the bench against Leeds and Cardiff, and changed the momentum back in our favour.

Boro were well organised today and barely gave us a sniff second half, but if the game opens up on Tue, you'd want Kodjia in the final third rather than Scott Hogan.

It's totally unreasonable to judge him now. To come in and expect him to tear it up having been missing for the best part of a year is ridiculous.

KG you are absolutely correct v Cardiff. Bamba was dominating in defence and marshalling Grabban however when he had to deal with Kodjia he fell off the perch and we were in control after that.

He came on and lounged about looking half arsed and was rightly called out by team mates.

Apparently Davis travelled with the team.

I’m quite a big critic of hourihane for disappearing but I thought he was ok today

Would still play Onomah on Tuesday though

To be fair I don’t think many people are saying he isn’t a good player or that he’s not doing a shift, just that he isn’t ready to play a role in the playoffs as hoped.

Instead of Hourihane? Think there is more chance of Bjarnsson coming in but I'd expect Hourihane to hold his place.

Don't think Onomoah has enough discipline to be a starter in one of these games. Bringing him on is the best bet if we need a goal.

I would start Davis on Tuesday. It would throw Boro completely, and give us a focal point. Grabban left and Snoddy right and hold Adomah and Kodjia back. We desperately needed a target man to hold it tonight.
