He might end up being a turkey, who knows

But he was good today, and played in the way we've needed a striker to play since benteke left

I think away from home, having the option to put the ball into the channels for him or adomah is going to make us much stronger

Far too early to judge Kodjia. I thought he did well today and looks encouraging for the season. Needs time to gel like many others in a new squad.

Already looks to be linking up well with McCormack though which was promising.

Promising start, could do with getting that first goal for us soon just to take the pressure off him, Wednesday night would be good

I didn't know anything about him at all and thought we had overpaid but...fair play to him, the best debut since Didier Six, he was excellent.

Not better than carbone! Good, but not that good

Could have had a hat trick though

Nice variety to his game - pace, movement, heading, link play, drift wide and central

More of that please

One run in the second half was Tekkers-esque

Very good debut.  As I said when we signed RM he wasn't the player we 'needed' at that point but Kodjia looked like he might be.  Looking at him today I stick by that, sign them the other way round and I reckon we'd be 4-5 points better off already this year.

the downward bullet header was outstanding too. Very unlucky not to score with that and very good save from the keeper.

Yep.  Thought he linked up well with Gestede when he came on as well.  Encouraging start.

Early days but looks a player and one who may have the ability to play at a higher level, the one thing a forward needs nowadays is pace and he appears to have that to spare and also a certain amount of positional sense. Welcome Kodjia.

Again, early days but he seems to have just about everything in his armoury. Pace, power, skill and good in the air. How effective he is remains to be seen but it was an inpressive debut.
