Seems to tick many of the boxes for what we need.  In the prime of his career, has good pace and has promotion experience.  Figures crossed he settles in quickly and that before long the new look defence starts to gel.

I don't buy into a lot of this superstitious rubbish but surely the time has come for a Priest to get involved and exorcise the demons that possess Villa Park.

I had high hopes for Ritchie, what a wounder. At least we have Begbie ready to come in and cause mayhem down the right.
