I wonder how many other players have won division one and two medals in the same season?

Each to their own, but we're talking about the Hutton that's behind Bacuna in the current pecking order and who's made one consistent feature the hallmark of his stay in B6 - Struggling to be in the same postcode as whichever wide player is whipping in a cross from exactly the position you'd hope your right back would be in because he's either

a). lying on his arse somewhere between the half way line and the edge of the penalty area after he's failed to amputate said wide players right leg with another "studs up to prove how much he cares" tackle
or
b). trotting back towards our half having f#cked up yet another easy crossing position and gifted the opposition easy possession.

Exaccerly.

My dad, being a lifelong Leicester fan and season ticket holder says it's a great signing for us, and is sad to see him go. Besides his choice of football team, my dad does speak sense when it comes to football and certainly doesn't have rose tinted glasses, even for his own team.

Welcome Ritchie.

I didn't realize how quick De Laet is. He seems to love to get forward. I do like idea of Amavi on one side and De Laet on the other, the defence protected by Jedinak when one of the two full backs get forward.

Decent signing. Hopefully this means the end of Alan Hutton.

WQorth noting that Leicester's defensive performance improved markedly after Ranieri replaced De Laet and Schlupp with Simpson and Fuchs.. De Laet not as good defensively as Simpson. and Schlupp definitely worse than Fuchs.

I can't believe that some people still think that Hutton is a good shout for fullback.

I think the truth OMVF is that Hutton has appeared to be better because the players around him got very much worse.

De Laet might or might not be good enough for the division above, but he's clearly good enough for the division we're in.

I like what you have described there, a simple formation and easy tactics for the squad to adopt.  Bacuna complements this system too, Cissoko less so.

Any guesses/reports on what the transfer sum was?

We are putting together a team to do a job.  A job way beyond the abilities and integrity of the squad that got 17 points and three wins last season.

De Laet might or might not be good enough for the division above, but he's clearly good enough for the division we're in.

These are both spot on. I have been personally pleasantly surprised at the speed with which the overhaul of the squad is taking place. I only hope the component parts gel quickly enough to achieve promotion at the first time of asking.
