Saturday 20th August, 17.30
Games coming thick and fast. Presumably Bent will score and Carson will throw one in for old times sake.

Bent is a doubt for the match as got injured last weekend. Weimann also out until September.
Going 1-1

Looks a tough one on paper, which is why I felt we needed a win last night. Hopefully sneak a 1-0 by staying solid for 90 mins.

I've added a poll.
My first away game for ages with Villa, 1-1.

Derby are shit, we're getting much better (last minute Elphick and Gallini errors aside) so this will be a comfortable 3-0 to us. Deep within their psyche will be the memory of the last time we played them at their place, so let's get Stan to walk round before hand to remind them further.

Would play 433.
Gollini, Amavi, Chester, Elphick, Bacuna at the back.
The Jedi [my Star Wars puns were lost on all but Danish Villa] Tshibola and Westwood in the midfield and then Ayew and McCormack up top, with Jack in behind.

2-2.
Will be goals in this one for sure...just looking at the two keepers!
Derby have plenty of good players...but it's a squad built for 4-3-3 while Pearson is playing 4-4-2 so that's a problem and explains their slow start.
Would be huge to win this one though.

I still don't think we have the required resolve, character and desire to win this game. We can sustain neither our fitness nor our concentration over the full 90 minutes. It may well hinge on whether we can play Jedinak, who I presume will take over from that big sheet of low-grade printer paper Westwood. But I'm guessing the Home Office won't get its act together, and neither will we. Routine away defeat.
