no more square pegs in round holes with this acquisition  ;D

Is The Square Peg pub still in town? How great would it be to bump into Steve Round in The Square Peg?

If I see you both in there, I'll buy you a round.

Edit: didn't spot your previous post TV!

I'm undecided on this appointment.

Firstly, I don't know who Steve Round is.

Secondly, I don't know what a Technical Director is.

I Cant see anything wrong with giving Round a transfer Window or two as long as he brings in players that don't (H)amble around the pitch

I wonder if this means Riley has gone or has opted to take a lesser role under Round.

To be appointed as Technical Director in September.
Interesting choice.

Wasn't Remi after him last year? I am sure he turned it down then.

Yes I think so. But Wyness has worked with him before and he comes with a very good reputation for development.

Didn't Remi want him as his assistant, before we ended up with McCuntibollocks himself.

He was assistant manager under Moyes. Like others, I'm not sure what the role of Technical Director will entail - hopefully we'll get more of a picture over the coming days

He was offered a lesser role under Garde and turned it down. He knows the game well and whilst this is a bit of a gamble as he hasn't performed this role before, I think he'll do a good job. No evidence at all to say so, but he has been around at the top of the game and is a very good coach.

I think I have a handle on it.
Steve Round is a pal of David Moyes and the job will entail directing people on football related stuff.

I totally misunderstood the thread. I thought Grant Holt was rejoining us and we had come up with a funny nickname for him.

Right thread - he ate all the Pi's

Yes you could say he's rounded up after round down.
