Looks a decent crowd again, Holte nearly sold out.

Is it likely that there will be any streams tonight?

A nice early goal for us will make them come out to play and give us chances for more,

for once I am not worrying about our defensive frailties.

There'll probably be loads of sites advertising it but come KO they won't have a stream as no TV channels are showing the game live. Only chance imo is there will be someone going live on Facebook and filming it using their phone.

I've seen a game like that on Periscope. Not sure how they do it... they must have a phone battery the size of their head.

I've been looking forward to the game since Saturday night, a chance to watch the lads after the blackout of the Rotherham game but now just discovered it's not being televised. I was sure somebody said tonight's game would be on TV.

Someone was doing parts of the Rotherham game that way. I guess a battery would last at least 45 mins on video and change to a full one at HT.
Won't be long before the club twig though, if loads of fans already know i'm sure they do as well, and it will be piss easy to work out where they are filming from so I assume it will be a polite please stop followed by a less polite leaving the ground if they don't.

From the OS

Quote
Tonight will be another memorable evening for Huddersfield’s Joe Lolley.

The Villa fanatic arrives in B6 as a focal part of the Yorkshire side’s attack.

He’s enjoyed an impressive rise up the football pyramid - jumping from Conference Premier to the Championship in January 2014.

Lolley netted 88 goals in 83 games for Midlands Combination Premier side Littleton before shining at the World University and College games.

Non-league Kidderminster Harriers snapped up his signature in the summer of 2013 before Huddersfield came calling six months later. And he’s not looked back since.

Despite his affection for the Villans, the right-sided attacker is clearly focussed on securing three points for David Wagner’s Town.

Lolley is a boyhood Villa fan after being introduced to the claret and blue tradition by his dad Martyn.

And he says father and son will be rooting for the opposition at Villa Park for one night only.

He said: “Tonight will be massive for me.

“It’ll also be huge for my family - a big moment for them and myself.

“It’ll be a bit surreal walking out onto to the pitch looking out into the stands instead of the other way round.

“It’s something I’ve been looking forward to since the fixtures came out. I can’t wait.

“My friends will be in the Villa end. My dad, who is a Villa supporter, will be supporting Huddersfield tonight.”

Lolley and the Terriers have started the season in fine form.

They saw off Brentford 2-1 at home on the opening day before recording an eye-catching victory over Newcastle at St James’ Park on Saturday.

Over 3,000 Town fans made the journey to the North East – this followed a record opening day crowd at the John Smith’s Stadium a week earlier.

And Lolley is hoping the atmosphere among the supporters and in the dressing room could prove the difference against Villa this evening.

He explained: “The mood in our camp is very positive.

“We knew we had a tough start to the league campaign against two good teams so to come out with six points is great.

“We approached both games differently tactically and we performed the way we wanted to.

“So to come out with two good performances and two good results is perfect.

“We had just over 3,000 at Newcastle. It was a good turnout. They were really loud there.

“We know we’ll be backed in numbers at Villa Park.

“The fans are getting behind us and that helps, especially somewhere like Newcastle where they had 50,000 odd there.

“To see 3,000 of your fans travel and making a lot of noise and louder than the home fans.

“It gives all the players a boost before and during the game.”

Villa head into the clash on the back of mixed results – a narrow loss at Sheffield Wednesday followed up by a comprehensive victory over Rotherham on Saturday.

As someone who has been in and around the second tier for over two years, Lolley is confident Roberto Di Matteo’s men can have a successful 2016/17.

He added: “I think overall they’ve signed some really good players, especially for the division and adding to the quality they’ve already got especially going forward.

“They’ve just added some players at the back who will bring a lot of experience and qualities.

“I think overall they’re looking like they’ve got a good team and squad.

“This season I think they’ll do well.”

Can't wait for tonight.Missed Rotherham, working.Unfortunately everytime I give up my ST we tend to win.I've literally seen us win about 6 times in about 3 years, all the other occasions I've been at the grimestone.

Love the first games in the sunshine,a packed Villa Park, the blind optimism and hope radiant.

First time in the Bartons for about 5 years tonight.I tend to do the Swan and Mitre prematch, after getting off the train. However, all my oppo's are holidaying,so I'm off with a workmate for a few Ubu's.Another change, back in the Holte with my ST for the first time since 1995.The perks of a 15 year old not knowing he's so so lucky to be attending, even if it is in the "uncool" Family Stand. He wore us down eventually, but I'm going to miss the Trinity.

I think it's going to be tight tonight.Frequently there's a team that really overachieves in this league.I think Huddersfield could be the one that comes from nowhere.2-2 ...after being behind.UTV
