The midfield looks fucking awful
Upfront looks decent but I second your thoughts to the 3 in the middle.

Yeah looks a very strong forward line up, but they might not get in the game with that midfield

That midfield is a bottom half of the table midfield. Nothing in there. Don't understand Gestede with Hutton and Cissokho and no wide players.

Bench looks alright.

Bacuna and Westwood in midfield. Didn't think I would see that again. Disappointing

Very disappointed to see Bacuna, Gardner and Richards names on the team sheet to be honest

Yikes that midfield! Come on Villa step up and start to bring some honour back.

As an aside is Okore injured?

Ignore the last question!

He's on the bench, so presumably not.

This isn't the PL so it won't be that our midfield is completely out of its depth. That's not to say that it cannot be improved on because of course it can. The line up is very attacking so hopefully if nothing else we start on the front foot and take it to Wednesday. We get ourselves into trouble when we give up possession. This won't be easy today.

True, how long will Gary Gardner get until we say ta-ra mate. Feels like a decade and still haven't seen him do anything ... same for Westwood too.

Bacuna all be it the arse-hole he is does pop up with the odd good cross or shot.

Ah sweet Jesus, I want to be positive but that midfield?  Christ, I don't know much about Wednesday's midfield but they won't have to be very good to be better than that.  Westwood?  FFS.

I have driven up to Laroque des Albères, 20 minutes from ours. There is a bar called Café des Artistes which is run by an Irish bloke and has Sky. Given that there is no egg-chasing on today, I thought I was guaranteed first dibs on Sky Sports 1.

Oh no, the place is full of Irish lads watching the feckin' hurling final FFS!
