How to play and score points in Championship Guess The Crowd!
Look for the Guess The Crowd (GTC) Villa v Opposition FC thread about 10 days before a home game.

Post your guess as a number in that thread, not this one please!
It's that easy. After the match, I use the official Attendance figure from VP to work out everybody's points. Some helpful players find this out before I do and post it at the end of the Guess thread, thanks
You can score:
10 points. Correct number posted up to 7 days* before kick-off. A Brucie Bonus!
9 points. Correct number posted before kick- off.
8 points. Within 10 points
7 points. Within 50
6 points. Within 100
5 points. Within 200
4 points. Within 400
3 points. Within 500
2 points. Within 1000
1 point. For entering that round before kick- off.
The same scoring is used for GTC Cup Extras rounds, except that the Brucie Bonus applies all the way through. This includes any rounds which are launched within a week of KO.
Check the Brucie Bonus window of opportunity at the start of every GTC guess thread.
Useful things to know
A double post in a round scores 1 point only.
An edited post ( where it says it was edited at the bottom) scores 1 point only.
No points are awarded for a late guess after kick- off.
No points are awarded for a guess after a deleted previous post. ( Not that anyone would.)
No guesses for 7 consecutive games means that you are moved to Division 4 with your points. This does not include missing GTC Cup Extras rounds. They can only add to your score, so go for it!
As 'inactive' teams are moved to D4 if and when this happens, the highest scoring team(s) in the Division below will be suddenly promoted. Nobody active will be relegated before the end of the season, this time, though. That was harsh!

The capacity has not been confirmed by Villa at the time of posting. If anybody knows, please tell me! They have confirmed that the Upper Trinity is closed this season, however.
It shouldn't make a lot of difference, we'll find out during the season and we're all in the same boat.

Its going to be tricky regarding the upper, cup games v premier teams surely they will open it, as they will if demand outstrips supply as we rip the championship a new one.

'Attendance Watch' should be interesting, I agree, especially for key matches like the kind you've mentioned.
This season is going to be a bit of a change for GTC as I've worked out that there are more overlapping rounds, even without the Cup Extras. The chance of missing one is high!
That's why I've extended the penalty number of missed rounds resulting in being moved to Division 4 to 7 consecutive rounds, from 4 last season.
Hopefully not too many teams will be caught out.
