Tottenham are like Everton: when they have a purple patch it's always the Second Coming, but invariably they have to sell off their best player because he's more likely to win stuff at a bigger club, they replace with prosaic cloggers and an anoymous manager. They'll be crap again, given a bit of patience.
Where as we are crap allready and look like remaining crap.

So we win. ???

my second team great little club

You're being sarcastic right?
This is a vanity project by an attention seeking chairman. The club is losing million n each year and if he walks away they fold. This 'village club' narrative is a smoke screen.

They don't seem very viable, long term.

Gretna has a population three times the size of Nailsworth, and they still went bust as soon as their sugar-daddy became sick.

Once the steak-dodger loses interest, they'll be playing as AFC Forest Green in the Midland Combination.

They over charge a reasonably small fan base. Are a minimum of six million quid in the red. And behave like an overly pretentious, force your Chairman's views on everyone, kit changing, pointless super green ground building, wanting to ruin every club between Bristol and Birmingham monopolising, deluded, shower of shit.

A very wealthy hippie playing at the worst capitalist pig dog he could think of in the real world. In football, "fuck it, we are like Real Madrid here".

It will all end in tears. Hopefully my joyous ones when they go bankrupt and drop 5 divisions (which is their natural level).

Do I detect nostalgia for a certain Nigel Spink being their Manager? That was 2000 to 2002. Perhaps the club had been elevated too far up the leagues even then? :)

why does there seem to be an underlying streak of meanness here? I don't give a flying fuck about the population of Gretna - in my opinion, FG are a good little club. This sugar daddy argument could be applied to dozens of other owners, including our own.

I don't like people enforcing their views on others. If they start selling meat again, I won't have any more dislike for them than I do others of their ilk such as Fleetwood.

That's the thing, it will still be in one of the worst parts of North London, one of those grounds the nearer to kick off you get there the better, after wetting the throat somewhere nice in London.

Yeah I've always been uneasy in Tottenham. It's a seedy, dodgy area with fans as scummy as Chelsea and West Ham.

Give it five years and it'll be full of artisan bakeries, organic coffee shops and ironic penny farthings.

Or obliterated with the rest of Britain by a Satan missile if Tereasa and Trumpy get their freak on.
