I saw Pat Jennings got a good reception.  Couldn't believe if when they introduced Steve Sedgley however.

No Mark Falco?  Steve Archibald? Tony Galvin?  Clive Allen?

Falco, Archibald andAllen were on the pitch.

They did one thing which we have never done win a european trophy on their own ground.   A lot of johnny come lately's though remembering their poor home support in the 70's.  No great lover of them, enough  on the media suck up to them.

I don't like Spurs but I'm impressed by what they've put together. 10 years ago we were equals in terms of PL status and seemed to have a similar trajectory. Our subsequent stories could not be any more glaringly opposite.

They've finished top five 9 of the last 12 seasons, that's pretty impressive. To put it into context, we've finished top five 9 times since 1930.

Good point. I have always said Spurs were never a potential title winning time in my lifetime (I'm 54) but they have become a consistently good side.

Never forgiven them for 1971 though.

We beat Barcelona in the Super Cup Final at Villa Park.

Ginola was great. Sadly, he didn't follow it up too often with repeats, although I recall John Gregory going quite negative around that time.

There was some really good goals in the Forest Green/Tranmere match today.

It was quite a good watch.

My new local league team. Just 12 miles away as the seagull flies but it would take over an hour to get there due to the River Severn being in the way.

Just imagine how big a club they'd be if they didn't just represent the Forest Green area and instead covered all of the vast metropolis of Nailsworth

Don't expect a steak pie if you visit the ground

I thought Pat Jennings looked exactly the same as he ever did just with grey hair

my first game at 'the Lane' was the one where our record signing David Geddis scored his first goal for us after going a load of matches without scoring
i think we won with Cowans getting another

me and my mate had to leave early as we were in the wrong area and the locals were getting restless,
oh the good old fun days of being chased around away grounds

Way Levy runs the club is top class imo, easily one of the best owners in the league. Even then Spurs fans like to criticise him for messing up some transfer deals in the past but he made Lerner look a novice and small time in those days.

Arkwright from Open all Hours could do that.
