at least we have some hope of  return to better things - imagine supporting a club like bury, knowing that they are always going to be Bury.

Look what Birmingham City supporters have been going through for several decades.

true, but the size of the club etc bring different expectations
I don't think in any league many teams have ever gone nearly a year and a half without a single away win

all clubs fall on hard times, but until recently I cant believe anyone can match us for consistently season after season playing so poorly and losing so often

apart from Cov

It's a shame, isn't it?  And to think it all started with us relegating them.

They'll be back.  *snigger*

However, they have had M.E.S. sing about the town

Nothing wrong with supporting Bury, in fact with two mega-rich clubs literally a tram ride away it's admirable.

Bury beat us in the semi-finals of the 1903 FA Cup which they went on to win.

I remember going to a Villa game in the  90s and 4 Bury fans were there in their Bury hats. I think they were on their way to the game and it was either called off or traffic meant they couldn't get there so came to our game instead. Always quite liked Bury since then in a 'well not like but hope you do well' type of way.

My eldest lad lives in Bury, he moved up there from the south a few years ago
Have to say he loves it,

famous for its Black Pudding, not that I would know it makes me heave

I wasn't being pejorative about Bury  - it was meant to be purely illustrative of a club who, in all probability, will never reach the PL.

I saw us play at Bury twice in the old third division days.  I liked it there, they had a great playing surface too.

They've won the FA Cup more times than SHA too.

They have the biggest FA Cup Final win. 6-0. That's about my entire knowledge of Bury.

Wasn't Neville Neville (Phil and Gary's dad) the groundsman for Bury for years?
