Am at a gig tonight, so not watching.

Why is Podolski retiring?

He knew he could not do better than a swansong defeating a novice England team playing in Scotland's colours.

The Germans are very efficient in most things they do but sometimes they get things entirely wrong. Joachim Lowe, casual trousers, blue jacket and a woollen top. His assistant ...in exactly the same casual outfit making it no longer a casual outfit.

I've got German relations, and being ven vaguely "fashionable' isn't something I'd ever accuse them of.

There is something about them ...in blood I would say. A few years ago, about 20, I was out in Town with my Bavarian friend and his brother. We were all going to the British F1 GP next day.  A few weeks passed and I met a mate of mine and his words to me were "Oh I saw you out in Broad Street other Saturday  from opposite side of the road and you were with two German guys"

For some reason I sat through that latest Scotland "performance".

I never learn.

That was a pretty decent result for the minnows that don't play professional football and never qualify for major tournaments. Not such a good result for Canada!

I mean - with reference to Scotland v Canada - that really is a terrible result and they are short changing their fans. Still, if you will play Scotland in sport that's what happens.

Double baddum tish...

Chester and Taylor start for Wales.

Hourihane on the bench for ROI.

Grealish on the bench for England U21 vs Germany in Germany; a "friendly".
