I thought similar watching Leeds Brighton last night. We'll get there but it won't happen over night.

500 career matches for Neymar at the age of 25.

That's a lot of football.

20 to 12 here in Istanbul so may not stay up for the 2nd half of the Barcelona game. only on in the background but the game sprung into life in the last 5 mins or so. Mangal yellow card for a foul on messi and from the freekick on the edge of the box Messi put it over. Then on the stroke of half time Mangala (who put Balenthia in the lead) is red carded for holding Suarez's shirt as he goes through one-on-one on the keeper. Red card and penalty from which Messi turns it around and makes it 2-1. From the kick-off  Balenthia go down the other end and Munir, on loan from barcelona, tucks it away with the last touch to make it 2-2. Villa give me wins, this has given me football that's enjoyable to watch.

From a normal tippy tappy Barcelona performance of cat and mouse the last 15 minutes had everything.

Messi 3-2. Just after he had put Neymar through who should have scored, just after Baletnhia had a good chance at the other end. I fancy more goals here.

I don't recognise quite a few of the England players in the team this evening.

A new dawn or more false hope??

Recognised the usual disrespect for the opponent's national anthem from the Ingerlund fans
