3-1 now. 6-6 on aggregate.

But with Not Pep's Millionaires 2 away goals ahead.

You can spend billions on a squad, but it takes a special kind of chemistry to get a star on your badge.

I reckon you would have got some decent odds at the start of the season on Leicester being the last English side in the CL. And if Rostov can give us a good giggle tomorrow, it will be last English side in Europe.

Genius by Pep, needing to score he makes one sub with 6 mins to go.

You probably wouldn't have got bad odds at the start of the week!

Isn't this bad for our coefficient? Possibly down to three teams next year in Champions League?

I doubt we'll finish 4th in the Premier League anytime soon anyway, so not that worried about it.

Nope. Germany and Spain are miles ahead of England, who are a bit ahead of Italy who are miles ahead of France.

So while Juve will probably out-perform any English team, the other English teams will probably go further than the other Italian teams (or at least match them). So Man City going out is about as damaging to England's coefficient as Napoli going out at the same stage is to Italy's.

And in the Europa League, one would expect Man Utd to probably beat Rostov and Lyon to knock Roma out.

England will lose the fourth spot if Italian teams out-perform English ones over the next 2-3 years, or French teams out-perform both the others over the next decade.

haven't they changed all that? the coefficients? England won't lose any of the 4 places.

You're right, from 2018/19 - so the above would only actually apply for next season and nothing will change for the final season of coefficients.

I would love to see us play like Monaco having seen some of both CL games V Man City, they are a joy to watch.  Skillful in every department, move the ball quickly, always looking to get the ball forward.  They have much better players than we do obviously but not as good as Man City and still look a better team. Get their manager and coaching staff...and players and we'd take over the world.
