In my humble, Albrighton was never good enough for us, and is only being lamented because we currently don't have anyone who can play wide.  Hasn't actually been tearing up the Premier League this season has he?

no he's a load of shit
won fuck all since he left us, that will learn him

Did I miss something last year or something? I'd like other Villa players to be showing off their League Winners Medals sometime sooner than next century ! Thank God I saw it once !

If by some miracle we were offered the chance of winning the Premier League but had to take relegation the following season, would you take it

Can we have the FA Cup instead?

I've seen us win the League so yes. I appreciate not everyone has.

And me.
Relegation is transitory (I hope) winning the FA Cup is permanent and something I have never seen.

Fair point. Two fa cup finals but no dice. Winning the league would mean everything to me about football

When I started watching Villa in 1960, we'd recently won the FA Cup but I hadn't a clue what that was then and only missing out in millennium+ FA cup finals made me realise what a big thing that was, despite all the League Cup Wins I'd enjoyed.

But I still think winning the League was .....incredible and even Div 2 can't take that away from me !

It's amazing isn't it?  How all these players suddenly become world beaters the less we see of them whether it be through long-term injury or they are moved on and we don't improve.  Just exactly what would Albrighton bring to this current Villa team when we have no one to to take advantage of his one in three crosses that manage to make it through?  I've no complaint regarding his commitment, just his ability.  Like most of that Leicester team last season, he was in the right place at the right time when they clicked, as has been said on here, it was freakish and normal service has been resumed despite the current scoreline.

Beautifully set-up and executed goal for 3-0 by Vardy !
Albrighton, you'll be pleased to read, having nothing to do with it.

Klopp seems to have an element of 'Emperor's New Clothes' about him. Like his predecessor he seems to talk a good game.
